Sister Showdown

"I'm sorry, did you say boyfriend?" Misty blundered nervously, her jaw practically was lying on the floor.

"Yes I did. It's only been a few weeks so it's really new." I leaned against Liam and he steadied me up so I didn't collapse which I was grateful for since my nerves were making me slightly tremble.

"Well that's good for you Stormy. Now if we are done here we have a meeting to get to." Daniel snapped clearly unamuzed as he made his way out of the room he couldn't get away from us fast enough.

"I better get going. I'll catch up with you later babe." Liam pecked me on the cheek and winked at me before he left me and my sister alone.

We both stood there awkwardly both of us completely silent.

"So what's new around here?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. Misty followed me hot on my heels. I opened the bottle of water and placed the opening on my lips and swallowed the cold liquid.

"Daniel and I were supposed to merge dad's pack and Daniels pack so I can take over for dad but Daniel wants to wait now for some reason but other than that not much." Misty jumped up on the counter and sat down with her legs dangling as she started to swing them back and forth.

"I see. What makes you think that you get to take over for dad?" I asked curiously.

"Stormy we have been over this! Daniel and I are mates. Merging the packs has been part of the plan this whole time." Misty snapped aggravatedly.

"You're mates? Like for sure?" I asked trying to sound at least somewhat curious.

"Yes for sure, I found out the night we shifted." She answered matter of factly.

"What if I wanted to take over the pack?" I asked trying to throw her off.

"That wouldn't work! How in the world would we merge the packs if Daniel is the Alpha of his pack and you were the Luna of ours? It's impossible Stormy. I'm his mate and I'm going to take over for dad and that's just all there is to it." Anger swam in my sister's eyes, it was almost comical.

"We will just see about that now won't we?" I arched my eyebrows at her mischeviously.

"Why do you want to be Luna all of a sudden? Do you really think you have what it takes?" Misty snarled venomously.

"Oh Misty I have exactly what it takes. Why don't you just move to Daniels and y'all can run his pack? I can merge our pack with Liams." I knew pulling this card was risky but I had to.

"You wouldn't dare!" Misty snarled, her canines elongated and her eyes were pitch black, I hit a nerve, the wrong one but still I kept on.

"Oh it's just an idea sister no need to get all angry. How could someone not want to be Luna?" I asked her seriously.

"Well of course everyone wants to but it's not a job that's made for everyone or else everyone would do it. Daniel and I are going to merge the packs like we've had planned." Misty jumped off the counter and was now face to face with me, us standing only inches apart.

"We will just see about that!" I snapped breathing hard, my wolf begging to come out.

"Whoa what in the hell is going on in here some kind of sister showdown?" Daniel laughed and made his way through me and my sister separating us.

"It's nothing baby. How was the meeting?" Misty asked as she flashed me a fake smile.

"Oh it was fine we came up with a plan we just have to iron out the rest of the details tonight. All of the guys will head out first thing in the morning." Daniel shot me a worried look before he masked it.

"Okay good I'll come with you!" Misty cheered excitedly.

"Oh no you will not. You will stay here. Both of you girls will! That's an order young lady so don't even try it." My dad commanded and my sister shot him a look that begged him to change his mind, but he didn't.

"Naomi please get everyone settled into their rooms so they can rest up for tomorrow." My dad pecked my mom on the lips after he spoke to her.

"Of course dear." My mom smiled softly and started leading people to different rooms. Thankfully our house was big enough to where everyone could stay here and have their own rooms.

"Ethan you're going to be in the room beside Liam and Chris." My mom showed Ethan and Chris their rooms and they took their luggage into the rooms.

"Liam you will be right here. This room has an ensuite bathroom." My mom smiled geniuenly and showed Liam into his room.

"Thank you Naomi." Liam offered my mom a grateful smile.

"You're welcome. Stormy you can stay in your room. The sheets are clean."

"Actually mom if it's alright with you I was planning on staying in Liams room." I spoke but it came off as more of a question. My mom looked at me confused for a moment before she nodded in agreement.

"Very well then. Now go get settled in. You have all your clothes in stuff still in your room if you need anything else you know where to find me." My mom dismissed herself and Liam shot me a teasing smirk.

"Can't get enough of me can you?" He playfully teased me and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"Shut up. I don't want to be alone, not here." I plopped down on the king sized bed and rested my head on the pillow. Liam laid down beside me and patted my hand reassuringly.

"You will never be alone as long as we are friends. Even though we haven't known each other very long, we will be in each other's lives for the long haul. Day or night I'm always here for you Storm." He sincerely spoke.

"Thank you Lee, same goes for you. I'm always right here." I patted the spot right next to him.

"So what are your plans for tomorrow while I'm gone?" He asked curiously.

"I need to go to the animal shelter to see if I even have a job anymore. Then I need to go pickup all of the assigments I have missed at school and then I'm going to hang out with my bestfriends. I'll have to introduce you to them when you get back. You're going to love them." I gushed. I forgot how much I missed my friends and guilt swam throughout my body once I realized how bad of a friend I have been to them. I left and have barely spoken to them. They probably don't even want to see me anyways.

"Sounds like you are going to be busy which is good it will keep your mind off of being here. Please don't kill my mate while I'm gone." Liams voice full of worry as he spoke about his mate. He was actually concerned I would hurt her.

"I promise to do my best not to. Relax Lee she's my sister I won't kill her but I can't promise not to hurt her though." I told him making no promises.

"I suppose I can live with that." Liam cracked a small smile, one I couldn't help but return.
