Hello darlings! I hope youre still enjoying the story so far! So what did you think Daniel and Stormy finally got a little closer?! Keep reading :)
---------------------------------------

I walked down the driveway and turned onto my street, the same street I've ran down my whole life and suddenly everything seemed so different, I took in my surroundings like it was my first time being here. I listened to the birds chirp and the wind blow hoping to let nature calm me down.

I turned down another street and made my way up the familiar driveway and rang the doorbell and waited impatiently for someone to answer the door but no one came so I rang it again this time I heard stomping footsteps.

"Wait a minute! I'm coming I was in the damn shower! Doesn't anyone have any respect around here?!" I heard my friend yell from the other side of the door while she fidgeted with the deadbolt.

The door was opened and there stood Alaina soaking wet in a towel, shampoo lathered in her hair. A look of anger written all over her face until she realized it was me and then she threw herself at me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Stormy! Where in the hell have you been? We have been so worried about you?!" She cried as tears filled her eyes I felt so bad for not letting my friends know I was okay.

"Let's get inside so you can finish your shower and call the other girls over here and then I will explain everything." I followed her inside and shut the door behind us.

"You call them while I'm in the shower!" She tossed me her phone and bolted up the stairs to finish her shower.

I opted to text them instead of calling.

'My house ASAP...IT'S AN EMERGENCY!' I typed and hit send and within minutes Alaina was out of the shower and dressed while we waited for Lisa and Olivia to join us.

"Are you thirsty? I'm going to get some waters and snack for us." Alaina looked at me like I was going to snap or disappear at any moment.

"Sure I'll help you. Relax Laina I'm not going to poof out if thin air." I told her seriously.

"Well you've been gone for a few weeks without so much as a phone call or text message so forgive me for worrying about you!" She snapped and guilt flooded my veins.

"You're right, I'm sorry about that but once I explain you'll understand." I begged and she nodded slowly. The doorbell ringing sounded throughout the house.

We walked in the foyer and Alaina opened the front door and there stood Lisa and Olivia who once they seen me hugged me exactly like Alaina had.

"Where have you been?" Lisa shrieked loudly in an octive too loud for wolves ears.

"Are you alright?" Olivia sobbed and hugged me once more.

"Have a seat it's going to take a while it's a long story." I urshered them into the livingroom and we all took our seats on the couches.

Alaina handed out the water bottles and sat all the snacks on the coffee table. I sat there frozen for a few awkward minutes trying to start explaining the chaotic past few weeks. The girls were all staring at me with impatient looks so I just started talking.

"The last time I seen you guys was the night of my eighteenth birthday party before the chaos erupted Daniel and I danced and it was amazing, I felt the tingles shoot my arm and my heart started to race the whole sha-bang. Misty started to shift and that threw everything out of wack and I was terrified to shift after hearing her scream in agony. Two of my dads men carried her outside into the backyard to get her away from pack members. Within seconds it was my turn to shift. I collapsed from the pain but Daniel was there, and he picked me up and carried me outside. He was so comforting and calm while he laid me a few feet away from Misty." I started to relive that night from a few weeks back, all the emotions that were still so fresh came swimming back.

"Our screams and whimpers filled the backyard as our shiftings progressed. Misty was panting and growling as her bones started to snap one by one. Daniel looked back and forth between us as he was having an inner battle with himself. He was trying to choose between me and Misty. Once my bones started to snap he grabbed my hand in his and squeezed it trying to comfort me but then he did something that shattered my heart into a million tiny pieces." I cried and wiped the tears that made their way out of the corner of my eyes, no matter how hard I tried to fight them.

"He choose Misty." I sobbed and let the tears fall.

All three of my friends looked at me with the same looks on each of their faces, each emotion crytsal clear. Sorrow, sadness, anger, etc.

"So I packed a bag and I left. I didn't know where I was going and I didn't care anywhere was better than being here, I wouldn't have made it if I stayed. To see him by her side coaxing her throughout the shifting whenever he was supposed to be by myside was the icing on the cake. I ran and ran until I heard footsteps and then I started being pegged with rocks out in the middle of nowhere. A beta, an omega, and their Alpha. I had crossed over onto their territory, which of course the Alpha wasnt very happy about. He asked me to follow him back to his house and so I did." I paused for a moment to catch my breath before I started talking again.

"I followed them in wolf form back to their pack house like an idiot but I was terrified to face any consequences from running away from them. Once we got to their house they led me down to a basement where it was evident they kept prisoners. The Alpha demanded that I shift and so I did. The look on his face was priceless. He was in shock." I laughed thinking back to Liam's reaction when he saw me for the first time though it wasn't funny then it sure was now.

"When the Alpha got a good look at me after I shifted, he was in shock to say the least. He walked circles around me asking me if I remember him and saying that if I don't then surely my wolf does. It was really weird. So I told him he must have me confused with someone else and he said 'you're my mate how could I confuse you with anyone else?' It clicked really quickly that he thought I was none other than Misty and I had just met my sisters mate and that he thought I was her." All of my friends gasped no doubt.

"Whoa!" Alaina was the first to speak after a few long minutes of silence, as I giving them time to process everything.

"But if Misty and Liam are mates then why aren't they together?" Olivia asked curiously as she stared me deep in the eyes.

"She wants to be with Daniel. She told Liam that if he persues her, she will reject him. So he has given her space." My heart clenched for Liam, knowing how badly he must have felt to be given that ultimatum.

"What a bitch!" Lisa sneered angerly, her eyes turning black with anger.

"So how did you end up staying with Liam and his pack?" Alaina asked trying to lighten the subject.

"Well he offered me a room and I accepted it. I can't be around Misty and Daniel while they are all over each other. It hurts too bad." I answered my voice shaking with each word I spoke.

"How are you coping with being in the same household as them together? Your wolf surely wants to rip your sister apart." Olivia asked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Liam suggested that we pretend to be a couple, to make them jealous for choosing someone else over us and honestly I think it is working because before they left Daniel came into my room and we kind of shared a moment." I couldn't hide the smile on my face as I relived the moment from just a few hours before.

As I finished catching them all up to speed we just sat there and talked about everything that's happened here while I was away. I had forgotten how much I missed my girls and how much I enjoyed our long chats.

"I'm so sorry I didn't call you guys. I just feel so awful for leaving ya'll in the dark the past few weeks." I apologized sincerely, guilt swimming through my veins.

"Don't be sorry Stormy, you were going through alot at the time and you still are. We all understand you needed time." Alaina smiled sympathetically.

"Of course but you better not go off the radar without calling again. We were all so worried about you!" Olivia spoke next and Lisa nodded in agreement.

"I won't, I pinky promise!" I put my pinky in the air symbolizing a pinky promise and everyone knows you can't break a pinky promise.

I wasn't sure what my future held or if my mate would ever come around but one thing I did know for sure is that through thick and thin my girls would always have my back and be there for me no matter what.
