Hello my beautiful readers! I hope you are all having a marvelous day! I also hope you are enjoying this story so far! I know some parts aren't as exciting as others but hang in there :) Here is your update!<3

-------------------------------------------------------

"Hola chica!" Carlos beamed over excitedly as I walked into the shelter. Carlos is my coworker at the shelter, we talked about everything from him being gay to Daniel being my 'boyfriend'. He was probably the gayest person that I knew, it's not a bad thing but the guy wore rainbow everything for Gods sakes, he was also human, meaning he didn't know that werewolves were real, nor that I was one.

"Hey Carlos!" I smiled greeting him while I walked into work. I walked behind the desk and put my purse into the desk drawer and shut it. I looked at the board to see what animals we had today and who needed what medicine and feedings. Thankfully Hector finally forgave me so I don't have to clean the kennels, I was in no mood for shit today, literally.

"So how is that hot man candy of yours?" Carlos asked popping his gum while he spun in a circle in the office chair.

"He is good. Found any men that have caught your eye?" I asked curiously and he snapped his fingers back and forth.

"Baby Carlos always has something to play with if you get what I am saying!" He winked and I shuddered, sure this guy was gay and more feminine than even I am but man does he play like a man.

"Oh I get what you are saying." I cringed my nose in disgust and he laughed at my reaction.

"Don't knock it til you try it baby." He smacked my ass while I started to walk away, needing to get busy.

"I am going to do medicines and the afternoon feedings, surely there is something you should be doing?" I asked arching my eyebrow at him and he sighed and stood up and gathered the mop and mop bucket.

"Yes but honestly I am tired of moping up that shepherds diarrhea, that shit keeps getting under my nails and I just got them done!" He whined fanning his hands in the air prissily. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at the guy like I said, he's feminine probably more so than I am.

"We have gloves you know?" I asked sarcastically and gestured towards the glove container sitting on the shelf. I went to the stainless steel table and pulled all the dog and cats folders off their hooks and started together any medicines that I would need and sat them on the table. I did a walk through and checked on all the animals making sure everyone was alright and had clean cages, greeting all the animals when I walked by. I stuck my finger inside the front of the cages and they would come rub against my fingers.

"Hey Lucy girl. Ready to have those puppies?" I asked her, my voice calm. She was pacing around trying to get comfortable before she flopped down in defeat and I kept walking to the next cage.

"Taz don't shred your bed or you are going to be sad when you have to lay on the ground!" I begged and finally the little pug sat down and looked at me wagging his little knub tail making me giggle at how goofy he was but yet he spun in a circle and laid down on his torn bed.

"This is why I didn't fire you." Hector spoke while he was leaning against the door frame watching me in admiration.

"Why because I talk to the animals?" I asked tilting my head to the side curiously while I made my way back to the medicine counter.

"No because you take your time getting to know the animals, you can keep them calm. It's like you have some way of connecting with them. Plus you're good at your job. The best kennel technician that I've ever had." Hector smiled brightly at me. He was good looking no doubt. His Hispanic olive colored skin, his hair blacker than black but his eyes an almond brown. His teeth were perfectly straight and whiter than pearls. He was physically fit, his muscles peaked through his scrubs.
