Sans was absolutely exhausted. So it was no surprise that when they turned up at Toriel's house, he collapsed on the couch. Lightning Song was still in his arms, and she gave him a rather strange look. She understood Sans was tired, but she was far from it.
She sighed and struggled out of Sans's arms. He finally lifted his arms to let her go, muttering a small "Don't go too far..." before turning on his side. Lightning Song nodded and jumped off of the couch, stretching her wings. She trotted into the kitchen where she found Papyrus preparing dinner.
Papyrus turned at the sounds of hooves of tile, smiling when he saw Lightning Song. "Oh, and if it isn't the small pony! Have you had a good day?" he asked, still stirring whatever was in the cooking pot.
Lightning Song nodded and smiled up at him. "I did. But I think Sans is tired." She turned around to look at Sans again, who was already knocked out.
"Figures..." Papyrus scoffed and shook his head. "Oh, well. I think this is the longest I've seen him go on without taking a nap." He laughed to himself and turned back to the food on the stove. "Would you like to help, Lightning Song?"
Lightning Song's smile grew wider as her wings fluttered in excitement. She gave Papyrus bright eyes as she nodded yet again.
"Excellent!" And with that, Papyrus picked up Lightning Song and propped her upon his shoulder.
For the most part, Lightning Song didn't help at all. She was mostly there just to talk with Papyrus, and Papyrus didn't want to risk Lightning Song getting burned or cut if she helped. So, instead, she helped keep him entertained.

It wasn't long before Frisk scurried down the stairs, Flowey in their hands. As usual, he was ranting about the pettiest things. This time, it was about not having hands. He would say things like "You don't know what it's like to not have thumbs. What the hell can these vines do? Nothing, I tell you, nothing!" No one really understood why exactly Frisk put up with Flowey's complaints.
But, of course, Flowey's complaints were drawn to a new source once his eyes landed on Lightning Song. Dinner had been prepared by this point, Papyrus was just waiting for the guests to arrive. So Lightning Song was waiting patiently in one of the chairs, where Flowey spotted her when he and Frisk walked down the stairs.
"Who the hell is that?" he asked, looking Lightning Song up and down. Frisk set Flowey down on the table, where Flowey inspected Lightning Song even more.
Lightning Song cocked her head to the side, giving Flowey a strange look as well. A talking flower? Well, she had encountered talking skeletons, goats, and even fish, so she shouldn't have been surprised. But it was clear this flower lived here, so why hadn't Sans introduced her to him?
But after a while of being around Flowey, she understood why.
Lightning Song hadn't encountered anyone quite rude yet. Undyne could have been categorized as loud, but Lightning Song didn't think she was rude. While Undyne spoke what was on her mind, Flowey did just the same... but with a lot of sarcasm.
No one had yet to tell Flowey who Lightning Song was or where she had come from. Frisk didn't talk, and Papyrus was far too occupied with setting up the dining room table. So, he kept pestering Lightning Song with questions.
