A new day, hopefully not another traumatic incident. Sans was hoping that today would be normal- no shocking discoveries or life or death instances. But every day with Lightning Song either brought one of the two. Sans wasn't blaming the small pony, but he knew for a fact there was more than that met the eye to her.
Either way, despite the threats coming from- well, whatever the hell was threatening him- Sans had no intentions to stop seeing Lightning Song. It would take a lot more than pain and some threats to prevent him from seeing her every day.
Today was the day Sans's friends would start helping Lightning Song out so she could learn a little more about their world. Sans didn't expect this training to last long, maybe a few months or so. There was only so much his friends could teach her, after all.
When Sans appeared in Lightning Song's room, he caught her singing to herself. Needless to say, Sans was rather shocked at how well she actually sang. One of Sans's biggest secrets, in fact, was that he absolutely loved to make music. And not just on the trombone (though, that was his favorite and most entertaining way to make music). He had written a few songs, but he hasn't shown anyone. And Sans would like to keep it that way.
Lightning Song didn't notice Sans at first, but once she did, her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "S-Sawns! I didn't hear you come in!" she pouted, not happy that Sans had snuck up on her like that.
"Yeah, but I heard you." Sans laughed. "You were actually really good. You like to sing?"
Lightning Song sheepishly nodded, refusing to meet Sans's gaze. She still wasn't pleased that he had heard her.
"Don't be embarrassed. I think it's pretty cool." Sans wanted to tell Lightning Song that he adored the subject as well, but he didn't think they were on that level yet. Hell, not even his brother knew. Sans cared for the pony and all, but he thought maybe he should wait a little longer.
Lightning Song shrugged and huffed, going back to what she was doing, which was dusting her room with her tail. "Aren't we training today?" she asked, trying desperately to change the topic.
But Sans wouldn't let her off the hook that easily. "No, no. Are you really serious about this singing thing, LS? Because I know a guy who can help you out."
Lightning Song turned around to look at Sans, now curious at what he had to say. "Who?"
"You haven't met him, but he's a pretty big deal. They call 'em Mettaton. Huge entertainment for us monsters. He sings, he dances, he cooks, puts on plays, multi-talented, basically. Kind of self-centered but he's got a good heart. I haven't talked to him in a while, but he and Papyrus are good friends," Sans explained, trying to think back to the last time he saw Mettaton. Well, Sans saw Mettaton every day on TV, but they hadn't actually spoken since Sans took Papyrus to one of Mettaton's live shows a few months ago. "I'm sure he would love to help ya out." Sans smiled at the pony when he noticed her eyes light up.
"Really?" Lightning Song trotted up to Sans, completely ignoring how embarrassed she was a few minutes ago.
Sans nodded and picked up Lightning Song. "Yep. We can go meet him tomorrow with Papyrus. But for now, today everyone is gonna help ya out like I asked 'em to. Toriel and Frisk are at school right now, so they'll be the last people you work with. Anyway, ya ready?"
