Sans hadn't said much to Lightning Song when he dropped her off after what had happened. He seemed distracted, like he was anxious to leave as soon as possible. Lightning Song noticed this, and she didn't bother to ask him anything or check if he was really okay. She didn't want to bother him.

Sans told her to have a good night and snapped his fingers, disappearing from her room. Lightning Song didn't know what was going on, and she knew Sans wasn't going to tell her. From what she knew about Sans, it was that he would always take matters into his own hands, never relying on anyone else for help.

Whatever was happening, Sans wasn't going to let her or anyone else help him. So all Lightning Song could do at the moment was wait for Sans to confide in her or someone else.

It had just occurred to Lightning Song that she wouldn't be able to finish training today, and it was just the afternoon. She couldn't remember what exactly she did before she had met Sans. Ever since she met him, her life was very eventful and exciting. Her parents were gone again, per usual, so she couldn't go see them.

Out of the corner of her eye, Lightning Song spotted her coloring book. It had been so long since she had colored something in it, she figured she might as well kill time. She trotted over to the book and flipped it open, realizing that she never did finish the page she had started. She realized that this was the page she was coloring when she first met Sans. She never did get to finish it. Well, better now than never.

Lightning Song made herself comfortable and took a crayon in her mouth, beginning to color in the spots she left blank. She loved to color; it helped ease her mind and distract her from the world. But even so, she couldn't stop worrying about Sans. What if something ended up happening to him and she wouldn't be able to see him again?

She had to stop thinking about it. Lightning Song had to trust Sans, even if she knew he was hiding a lot of things. Lightning Song sighed and started to hum, resuming her coloring to forget her troublesome thoughts.

Lightning Song had no idea she was being watched the whole time.

Sans.

It was the first thing Lightning Song thought of when she woke up. Every bone in her body ached and it was even challenging to open her eyes. She groaned and her eyes finally fluttered open, only to reveal nothing but pitch black all around. She wasn't in her bed, that was for sure. It felt like she had been sleeping on bricks for the past couple of years.

Lightning Song managed to get herself on her hooves, nearly stumbling as she stood up. She blinked a few times, surveying the area around her. She didn't find anything. No, literally, she couldn't find a single thing. There wasn't even a surface underneath her- like she was walking on air. It was all just black.

The air seemed thin around here. Lightning Song had to take deeper breaths than usual to get the oxygen she needed. Lightning Song looked around, like maybe there would be something else there.

Was she dreaming? Was this real? She couldn't even begin to figure it out. Her head has been pounding ever since she woke up, and it was hard to keep herself on her hooves. Was Sans here? Did he know what was happening?

"Hello?" Lightning Song called out, her voice echoing around her. It was almost haunting- hearing her voice come back to her in an empty, void silence.
