I woke up to a vague sense of fatigue and soreness, groaning almost the instant my eyes attempted to adjust to the bright room. I glanced downward to see I was dressed in nothing but underwear, and my head snapped up in realization of last night's events. It wasn't a dream?
I eyes wide, I blinked a couple of times and looked around the room- my clothes were folded in a neat pile on the couch, and one of my shoes was in its place. No sign of him.
"Of course," I snickered, humorlessly. My gut wrenched in response. I'll think about it later. I stood up despite my wobbly feet.
I brushed my teeth, smoothed my hair over, and examined myself in the full-length mirror, apart from a couple of faint red bruises here and there, I didn't look any different. I pulled a bathrobe over my marked body. It really happened.
I stepped out to make myself some disgusting hotel tea when I heard the door beep and open. I dropped the teabag and attempted to grab something feasible for attack, and ended up staring wide eye at the doorway, fork-in-hand. Jimin entered casually, holding a paper tray of coffee and a brown bag of what I could assume was food.
His brows furrowed. "Did you preempt I was bringing breakfast? I don't think you'll need it though," he said gesturing to the fork in my hand.
I put the fork down and took it all in.
"You're here," I stated, walking hesitantly toward him.
He looked down at himself, "yes, I suppose I am. Why?"
"I thought you took off."
"Why would I do that?" he set the contents of his hands down on the table.
"I don't know, isn't that what people do?" I said, pulling my chair back.
"What do people do, doll?" he sat across from me.
"Do someone and then leave, you know, wham-bam thank you, ma'am?
He frowned, "what sort of people have you been mixing with," he muttered, sitting down across me, seeming offended at my assumption and choice of words.
"Sorry," I muttered and reached for the coffee. He snatched it back and place the brown paper bag in front of me.
"First you eat. And was that an apology I just heard?" he smirked.
I rolled my eyes, opening the bag, spotting bagels and churros, "don't get used to it."
He laughed softly, "that's okay."
"How do you feel?" he asked sincerely once I began eating, placing the cup of coffee in front of me.
I blushed, "okay, I guess. A little sore."
"I would be a little hurt if you weren't," he bit his lip and smiled, "and last night, when you said you hadn't ever done it before- I was shocked," he stared at me, "but I wasn't thinking straight, so I didn't stop to ask you anything. I'm sorry if I was... rough."
I looked away.
"It's not like I didn't want to. I mean, you asked so..." I looked at the bagel crumbs.
"How?" he crossed his legs.
"How what?"
"How are you a virgin?"
"was," I muttered and he chuckled.
"Yes, that," he smirked.
"I'm still very young, you know. I went from school to college and I started designing while in college. And now I'm here. If it wasn't for... last night... It probably would've stayed like that for a lot longer..." I trailed off, faltering under his gaze.
"Well, thank god for last night and me, then," he leaned forward and brushed a stray strand of hair off my face, "anyway, like I was saying, I'm so-"
"don't apologize," I gushed, "it was fine."
"Fine?" he raised an eyebrow and rested his palm on my now-bare thigh.
I blushed, memories of my two heart-clenching releases flooding my mind.
"I mean... no, I- it was good... was good- great," I stammered.
He chuckled, "It was great for me, too," my eyes widened at his confession.
"You really do know how to drive a man crazy, Tara."
He leaned forward, face in his palms. "Everyone is going to the beach today, are you going too?" he asked.
"I don't know... I'm kinda tired..." I said, putting my cup down.
"Hmm?" he began, "but you won't be tired long. We could just stay in if you'd like. Commence round 3 once you recover," he crossed his arms on his chest.
My eyes widened, "no, I promised Mia I'd go, so I gotta."
He chuckled, standing up and striding toward me.
"Okay, but that doesn't work, I know you work out, so I know you got good energy," he bent down, hands on the armrests by my side, "and you did show me last night," he whispered and kissed me- hard and fast- before striding out of my room.
