I crossed my arms and let the door swing open.
"It's 1 AM, Jimin-ssi." I stated."I know, I own a watch and a phone." He said.
I raised an eyebrow, "well?"
"you need the jacket back," He held it out for me.
"You could have had an assistant send it. You didn't have to come all the way at this hour," I said, my arms still crossed.
"Yeah, but I chose to wear it so I thought I should be the one to give it back," he placed it on my shoulder, "and I thought it would give us a chance to talk."
Mood swings. My stomach twisted. I turned around, walking into the house, "come in."
He entered and closed the door after him, "looks like I did interrupt something."
"Nothing important," I muttered, putting the jacket down on the couch.
"I think I'll take you up on that tea you offered the other day." He said and I turned to face him.
I sighed, "sure. Sit down." I gestured toward the couch and walked into the kitchen. He chuckled and walked around the living room, checking out the place.
"How long have you had this place?" he asked, looking out at the balcony.
"Since I moved." I turned on the stove.
"Really?" he inspected the television set.
"Yeah. I had three places to look at arranged before I moved. I liked this once the best and moved in a couple of days after I arrived." I said, dumping the ingredients into the water.
"Are your parents' rich?" he wandered further into the house.
We're sharing personal information?
Well, you did share saliv- Shh!
"Um, yeah, sort of." I shrugged.
He strolled over to the kitchen counter, giving me a small smile and humming in acknowledgment.
STOP IT.
I focused on the tea and smoothed my hair down. I wasn't wearing any makeup and I was practically naked under the robe.
"You didn't finish your salad," he noticed my plate and pushed it toward me, "please, don't stop on my account."
I shoved the last few bites of my dinner into my mouth while the tea boiled on the stove.
"I never see you eating any food at the building. Do you always eat healthy?" I felt his inquisitive eyes on the back of my neck while I hurriedly cleared my plate.
"I guess. I eat non-fattening foods." Hearing the sizzle on the stove, I stealthily turned around and turned it off.
"But you also smoke." He said, leaning on the kitchen counter on the outside.
My eyes widened. How does he know?
I looked up at him. "I saw your lighter on the coffee table. I've also seen you once on the building's roof," he said, cocking his head to side, "you say eat healthy but you smoke. What sense does that make?"
"You said I eat healthy. I said I eat non-fattening." I clarified, pouring the tea in both cups.
"It's a disgusting habit." He stared at me.
"I know. That's why it's sort of a secret. Well, was," I kept the cup before him.
"Will you quit?" he questioned sincerely.
"Someday soon, I hope." I said, blowing on my tea mildly.
"Hmm," he mimicked my activity, "it's been a busy week for you, huh?"
"It's been a busy week for everyone, there's upcoming shows and-"
"With men, Tara. It's been a busy week for you," he interrupted.
"Oh... yeah, I supposed it has been." I took a tentative sip, "why don't you sit, there's stools right under you."
"I'll sit when I want to," he brushed the hair out of his face, "so the guy last night... did you?"
"Did I what?" I blinked.
"Did you... go there?" he narrowed his eyes.
"uh, how is this relevant?" I scoffed.
"Just answer the question, Tara." He hissed.
"I'll answer when I want to, Jimin." I emphasized his name with a lack of formality.
He took a sip of his tea and narrowed his eyes. "Careful, doll." He taunted.
"Always am." I took another sip, my eyes not leaving his for even a second.
The energy in the room was ridiculous. The tension was palpable and I could hear the loud echoes of my heart thumping.
"That's debatable." He said, walking around the kitchen counter and approaching me on the inside. Fuck, fuck, fuck, ABORT MISSION.
I held my cup in front of me while simultaneously turning to stay facing him. He pranced smoothly toward me, stopping not too far before me.
"You're not always careful. I wish you were." He rumbled before drinking all his tea in one go and setting the cup down next to him.
I reached for his cup and he swiftly slid it back causing me to move forward, close to him. I flattened my palm on the counter and leaned on it nonchalantly.
"You don't know me well enough." I shook my head.
"Except I do. And the fact that you don't want me to know is what makes it so much more fun." He took a step forward and I took one step backward.
"Why are you so difficult, Tara?" another step.
"Why are you, Jimin?" another step.
"Because of you," another step. "Because you make it so difficult for me." My butt hit the counter and he closed in on me, putting both his arms on the counter on either side of my hips. He leaned forward and whispered, "Now, do you intend to be a pain in my ass today, too?"
