"Babe, wake up." Puck said softly.
Quinn opened her eyes and saw that Puck was showered and dressed already.
"I'm leaving soon." Puck added.
Quinn frowned. "Do you have to?"
Puck nodded. "Go shower. I'll make breakfast."
"Okay." Quinn replied as she rolled out of bed. "Is B up yet?"
"Not yet." Puck shook his head. "Want me to get her?"
"No, let her sleep." Quinn said as she walked away to shower.
After her shower, Quinn got dressed. She decided to let her hair air dry, so she only did her makeup. When she was done, she returned to Puck.
"Good morning." Quinn smiled as she kissed Puck's cheek. "What are you making?"
"BLTs." Puck responded. "I hope Beth likes bacon as much as you did when you were pregnant with her."
Quinn smiled. "Yeah. Actually, she loves bacon, but she doesn't like lettuce or tomato."
Puck frowned. "Oh yeah. Um... I guess I'll just make her some eggs."
"It's okay." Quinn responded.
Puck nodded and continued cooking.
"Mommy." Beth muttered groggily.
Quinn turned around to see the young blonde rubbing her tired eyes. "Morning, little bee. Tired?"
Beth nodded, and Quinn picked her up. "We're gonna have breakfast with Daddy before he goes."
Beth shook her head.
"Why don't you go get dressed?" Quinn suggested as she put Beth down. Beth hesitated, but then left the room.
"One of these days I'm gonna teach you how to cook, Q." Puck promised.
"I know how to cook!" Quinn exclaimed.
"Baking doesn't count." Puck said as he raised his eyebrow.
"It counted when we had that food fight." Quinn smirked as she grabbed an egg from the carton.
"Don't do it, Fabray." Puck told her. "I don't have time to shower again and I can't go to work as an egghead."
Quinn looked at the egg and then at Puck. His hair was grown out from the mohawk, so it wouldn't be as easy to wash egg out as it was back in tenth grade.
"Alright, fine." Quinn surrendered as she put the egg back. "But when you teach me how to cook, we might have a little part two of that bake sale food fight."
"I'm looking forward to it." Puck grinned as he turned off the stove. "Breakfast is ready."
Puck grabbed the three plates and the trio sat down to eat together.
"Daddy, will you come back soon?" Beth asked. "I don't like when you're gone. Mommy gets too sad."
Puck frowned with guilt. "Well, B, you know I try to come back as much as I can. And I'm gonna spend a lot of time with you two in the summer, and for your birthday, and..."
"Daddy's gonna help us with the paint and the furniture when we move into the new apartment." Quinn informed Beth.
"Totally." Puck nodded. "I'm gonna get you whatever furniture you want, Monkeyface."
Beth smiled happily and continued eating breakfast.
"I'm never too far away for a phone call or a text message either." Puck reminded them. "Or some videochatting."
Beth smiled, but Quinn knew better. Puck couldn't help it, but sometimes he made empty promises. Quinn had learned not to get her hopes up, but Beth didn't know any better.
Puck glanced at his watch and jumped up. "Crap, I gotta go or I'm gonna be late."
"Do you need a ride?" Quinn offered.
Puck shook his head. "No, thank you." He quickly rinsed and dried his plate before putting it away. He kissed Beth's cheek. "Be good for Mommy. Love you."
"Love you, Daddy." Beth smiled.
Quinn stood up and hugged Puck. "Be safe. Call me."
Puck nodded and kissed Quinn. "I love you, Q."
"I love you." Quinn said softly. She kissed Puck again before watching him leave.
"Mommy, can we go back home?" Beth requested.
"We are home." Quinn said as she furrowed her eyebrow at Beth.
"I know." Beth said. "But can we go to New York now?"
"You have three more weeks of school, B." Quinn informed her daughter. "We can go to New York in three weeks."
"What about my birthday? Can we go then?" Beth questioned Quinn.
Quinn shook her head. "Not until school is over. And speaking of your birthday, what do you want Mommy and Daddy to buy you?"
"Can I take dance class?" Beth asked.
Quinn smiled. "Of course you can, but that's not your birthday present."
"Can I have a baby sister or baby brother?" Beth wondered.
"We'll see." Quinn said as the smile left her face. "Why don't you come up with a few more things just in case?"
"A puppy, a baby brother or sister, or a new bike." Beth listed as she walked out of the room.
