After Prince Keith and Prince Edward took me to my parents' graves, we stopped in front of Lord Nobel Michel's Castle.
Huh, I thought as I looked at the majestic Castle before me. I wasn't exactly surprised that the Ball would be here. I'm just surprised that I'm here to attend it, with Prince Edward of course.
Other Princes of other Countries were getting out of limousines that were parked in front of us.
When a tall, young Prince had looked my way Prince Keith and Prince Edward had stiffened.
He looked familiar, but I don't exactly know which Country he was from though-- and I had no clue as to why Prince Keith and Prince Edward would stiffen like that by me just looking at the young Prince.
"Why don't we go inside?" Prince Edward offered as I just kept staring at the young Prince. "This place will be swarming with paparazzi soon."
"Sure," I said as I finally looked at Prince Edward.
He took my hand and led us to the stairs of the Castle. We passed the young Prince and I couldn't help but stare into his familiar light brown eyes.
It looked like the young Prince had known me because just when we were close to the entrance-- he stopped us.
The young Prince gasped as he looked down at my heart shaped locket. "It is you." He engulfed me into a gentle hug. "Oh, Linda."
My body stiffened at his sudden hug. I didn't return it. How did this Prince know my name?
"I'm sorry," I smiled apologetically as I hid behind Prince Edward. "Do I know you?"
"Yes, you do know me." He said as he looked at me and then at Prince Edward in confusion. "Linda, we had met as kids. In Oriens, in my country, when we were eight-years-old."
"Oh, I'm sorry." I must have met him before the car accident, I thought. "I just don't remember you."
He waited for me to elaborate.
"I don't remember you because I have amnesia." I began as the other Princes walked around us, and then lingered when they saw me talking to this Prince. "I was in a terrible car accident...after my parents and I had left Oriens. I've had amnesia since-- so I'm sorry. If I knew you before then. I don't remember you..."
"No, it's okay. It's my fault. I shouldn't have approached you like that." The young Prince looked sad and it pained me to see him that way. I don't know why I felt like that toward him though.
Prince Edward began to lead us to the entrance of the Castle again.
"I really am sorry," I said as I stared into his light brown eyes before I couldn't see him anymore.
"Who was that?" I asked Prince Edward as he led us to a lounge. "I mean, what's his name? The Crown Prince of Oriens."
He looked down at me sadly. "Prince Glenn, his name is Glenn."
"Glenn," I let Prince Glenn's name play on my lips without any formalities before it. His name didn't ring a bell.
"May I ask you something?" Prince Edward said as he sat down on a couch.
"Sure," I said hesitantly.
"Pardon me if I'm being too blunt," He smiled at me apologetically, "but how hard did you hit your head in the car accident that you were in?"
"Well, the doctor said that I had hit it pretty hard." I went to sit down next to him on the couch. "Somehow, in the midst of the crash. My seatbelt had snapped undone and my head had hit pretty hard against the side window. That's what I've been told at least."
