Linda's POV:

"Here," My brother gave me an envelope as he sat down next to me at the couch, in the living room.

I frowned as the envelope had only my name on it. There was no return address or anything like that.

"Did this come in the mail or...?"

"Ah, no. It didn't come in the mail." he said as he turned the television on.

"Who's it from then?" I watched him as he grew tense. "I mean, who gave this to you?"

"G-Glenn did."

"Glenn," I repeated as I raised my eyebrows in confusion. "What, is this some kind of wedding invitation?"

"Linda," My brother chided as he crossed his leg over the other. "Glenn would never do something like that."

"Are you sure? Because that's what I thought before I found out that he's going to have a wedding-- through a news reporter on TV, if I might add."

"That's an invitation to a dinner, with him and his father in Oriens." He said as he ignored what I had just said.

"What," Quickly, I opened the envelope. My brother was right. it was an invitation for a dinner at Oriens with Glenn and Glenn's father. "Wait," I set the invitation down on the coffee table. "I have to go alone."

He nodded. "Yes, it seems that way. I mean, the envelope only has your name on it."

"But why? I don't want go alone. What if I mess the dinner up? Say something that would somehow insult the King of Oriens?"

What if I don't want to go? I thought frantically.

"You won't mess anything up." He assured me as he gently rubbed my back soothingly. "And you won't insult anyone, especially the King. Linda, why are you making excuses?"

"I'm not making excuses." I said as i tried to sound nonchalant, but it was difficult to do that when Leighton was giving me a scrutinizing look.

"Alright," i sighed as i sat back. "What if I don't want to go?"

"It's because of Glenn, isn't it?"

Yes, what do you think? I thought sarcastically.

"Leighton, I know you said that Glenn's a nice person,, but if he really is. He would have invited me to have dinner with him-- and maybe with his father too-- before that public announcement."

"I can see why you would think that Glenn doesn't really seem like a nice person anymore," He looked into my eyes, "but that's all it is. There's nothing more that you dislike about him. Just because you don't like him that doesn't mean that you can't go."

"Yes, it does actually--"

"No, it doesn't." My brother said firmly as he cut me off. "Just because you don't like Glenn right now. It doesn't mean that you will blow off this important dinner. You're going and that's final."

I rolled my eyes. "Fine, whatever."

As much as I wanted to protest. I didn't because I knew it would be pointless. My brother was right. I had to go either way/ It was an important dinner. I was going to have dinner with Glenn, the Crown Prince of Oriens, with his father, the King of Oriens.

And the dinner was going to be on Saturday, this Saturday.

Will I survive this dinner? Maybe. There's only one way to find out.

This will be a treat, I thought sarcastically as I made popcorn while Leighton chose a movie. According to him it was movie night. When he knew, that I knew, it wasn't.
