Ten years ago...
My parents and I were leaving Oriens, we had vacationed there and I had made an unexpected friend. He was the same age as me. So we got along pretty quickly, but we lived in different worlds.
Little did I know that the new friend that I had made-- in the three, short weeks my family had vacationed in Oriens-- my friend was a Prince. He wasn't no ordinary Prince, he was the Crown Prince of Oriens-- of the Country that my parents and I had vacationed in for three whole weeks.
The days had been fun, the Prince and I had played at a local park since I was there.
When I had played with him it looked like that he was happy, truly happy that I had chose to play with him when no other kid our age hadn't wanted to.
"My name is Glenn." He had said when I offered to play on the slide with him.
The person with him had wanted to correct the young Prince named Glenn, but thought better of it.
"My name is Linda." I said excitedly. "It's nice to meet you, Glenn."
Glenn smiled when I just said his name, with no formalities in front of it. That was the day we had met, and I would never forget that day. Or at least that's what I had thought as my parents and I drove away from Oriens, from Glenn.
I was upset when we had to leave Oriens, that I would have to leave Glenn, but Glenn had made a promise with me.
"We'll see each other again." He promised when we said our goodbyes at the park, where we had met. "So, don't cry, Linda."
"But--"
Glenn smiled sadly as gave me a heart shaped locket.
"What's this?" I hiccuped as I looked into his big, round light brown eyes.
"A gift," He said as he stared into my eyes, "from me. So you won't forget me, until we meet again."
"Thank you," I clutched the chain of the necklace as I threw my arms over his neck, as I hugged my new friend.
My mind had kept bringing myself back to my departure with Glenna as I held the heart shaped locket in my small hand.
"I won't forget you," I whispered. Right when an on-going truck had crashed right into my parents' car.
Everything was a blur after that. Somewhere, in the midst of the car accident, I had lost my parents-- and my memories. Of anything, of anyone, even Glenn. I didn't know why I was holding my heart shaped locket when I had finally woken up in the hospital, with amnesia, but a part of me knew that I had to keep the necklace. There was a memory, like all of my other memories, that held me close to the necklace. I just could remember it.
I had forgotten about Glenn.
I had broken a promise, a promise I didn't know that I had made.
I had become an orphan at the age of eight-years-old.
The one thing that I hadn't lost was the locket that Glenn had given me before the accident, but I didn't know that he had given it to me. Amnesia sucked, and I was left in my Amnesia state after the car accident.
Determination filled my heart as I grew up in countless of foster families. I would remember the parents that I vaguely remember. I would remember this faint memory of meeting a boy in a Country that I had visited when I was eight. I was determined to never take off the heart shaped necklace, even if I couldn't remember its origins.
I will remember a forgotten memory that's buried deep in my mind.
Author's Note:
I hope you guys liked the prologue for Glenn and Linda's route. At first, I wasn't going to have a prologue for their route, but I thought it was necessary. To have a memory in a prologue before the actual story for the both of them.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the prologue as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Until next time, my lovelies!
