Linda's POV:

"Do I have to go?" I asked my brother after I changed my clothes into the dress that he had given me.

Apparently, we were going to a party in Charles. In support of our extended family, the Levangcois-- the Royal Family of Charles.

Leighton laughed at me as I smoothed out the skirt of my dress nervously.

"You make it sound like that you've never been to a party like this before."

"Ha-ha, very funny." I stuck my tongue out at him as we headed for his car. That was thankfully inside the garage. "All I'm saying is that I don't think that I should go. Considering that there still paparazzi at the end of our driveway."

His ears perked up when I had said "our driveway".

I rolled my eyes.

"Well, as much as I don't want the paparazzi catching a glimpse of you-- at least not yet-- this is just something that you'll have to get used to. You're practically like a long lost family member."

"Aren't I one?"

He shrugged as we settled inside his car.

"Yeah, I guess." He said as he backed out of the garage. "Besides, even if you don't want to go, Linda. Edward wants you there."

"Right," I smiled as I looked out of the window.

What about Glenn? Is he going to be there? Does he want me there too? Who knew. He still hasn't answered to any of my calls or text messages.

Heck, I even emailed him-- and Yu.

None of them answered anything.

I let out a sigh as we passed the several paparazzi that was still sitting outside of our driveway.

A couple of the cameras flashed at me and I immediately looked away.

My brother put a hand on mine as we silently drove to the Castle of Charles.

~~~
My heart was pounding when we entered the Ballroom.
I quickly scanned the room, to see if the Princes were here-- and they were.
They were with Prince Edward.
However, Glenn wasn't amongst them. This made my heart sink just a little bit. I wanted to see him. Maybe ask why he hadn't called or texted me back.
Then I saw him as Leighton and I had made our way to our cousin and the other Princes.
Glenn was just a few ways away from the other Princes, but he wasn't alone.
He was with an elegant-looking woman who looked like she could be an amazing dancer, she had the body for it. The woman was dressed in a nice blue dress that fit her perfectly.
That wasn't what I was worried about though. She was beautiful. Long dark hair with light brown eyes. Her complexion had a natural glow to it. She was perfect.
My brother noticed me staring at them.
"Do you want to go and greet them?" He whispered into my ear.
I shook my head as I looked away just when Glenn had caught my eye.
"No," I kept my eyes on my brothers. "We should greet Edward and the other Princes first. It would be rude if we interrupted Glenn and his date."
My brother nodded, but he was frowning. He knew it was out of character of me to assume that someone, like Glenn, had a date.
Well, wasn't that woman his date? I mean, if Glenn knew that he was going to be here tonight. Wouldn't he had told me? Wouldn't he had offered to take me? Like he always did?
Once we got to Edward and the other Princes, my head was swimming with countless of questions. Questions that were painstakingly about Glenn and the woman that he was with.
The Princes stared at me, my brother, Edward then back to me again.
"I should've known." Prince Keith said in a light, teasing tone.
"You should've known what," I raised an eyebrow.
He smiled as he narrowed his eyes just so.
"That you were related to Edward from the day that I had met you." He said. "Looking at all three of you now, you look alike-- related."
I shook my head as I refrained from an eye roll, but I looked at my brother and then at Edward.
Now, of course, I would look like my brother. We have the same hair and eye color, but Edward? He was the complete opposite of my brother and I.
Edward had platinum blonde hair and lavender eyes...but his features did match my brothers. Like, the set of his eyes-- they were like ours-- and his nose too.
Prince Keith was right. He should've noticed the resemblance from the beginning-- heck, I should've noticed as well, but I guess I wasn't trying to look for a resemblance with Edward at the time. When we first met, I mean. Wait, wasn't that "first encounter" a "re-encounter"?
This was kind of confusing. I had to admit that.
Edward had whisked me away into a dance, leaving my brother with the other Princes.
I couldn't help but look for Glenn and the beautiful woman that was with him.
When I found them, I immediately looked into Edwards lavender eyes.
"You're getting better," He said. "At dancing, I mean."
"Thank you," I blushed a little. "Leighton's been giving me a few lessons." I added quickly.
It was true. Leighton had given me a lesson or two ever since I began to stay with him. I guess he felt like it was his duty as an older brother to teach me how to dance, especially the Waltz.
Edward smiled down at me sweetly as the dance slowly ended.
"He taught you well."
I smiled faintly as we slowly walked back to my brother and the other Princes.
Glenn and his "date" was there when we came back from the dance floor.
We stared at each other for a few seconds before Glenn introduced the woman that was in fact his date for the night.
"This is Lady Elizabeth," Glenn said as he kept his eyes on her. "She's...my fiancé."
F-Fiancé?!
I felt like he had poured ice cold water on me.
The other Princes, including Edward and my brother, gave Glenn an incredulous look.
"Fiancé," Prince Roberto raised an eyebrow as he kept a cool smile on his face, but his eyes were filled with worry as he stared at me.
Glenn nodded as he looked at Prince Roberto. He didn't dare look at me. He looked at everyone but me.
"We've been engaged for awhile now."
Lady Elizabeth laughed as she put a hand on his arm.
"You're too modest, Glenn." She smiled. "We've been engaged since we were born."
My body felt so cold and numb, that I swear someone had poured another bucket of ice cold water on me.
Without thinking, I mumbled an "Excuse me" and quickly walked out of the Ballroom.
My mind didn't know where I was going, but my body knew.
Before I knew it, I was in a secret garden and I was crying with my head against a stone bench.
They've been engaged since birth, I thought as I sobbed. That means that they're betrothed.
This isn't happening. This just can't be happening!
I cried my heart out that night before Louis had found me, and comforted me with a calming cup of rose tea.
