The preparations for the Wedding came soon after when Glenn had "properly" proposed to me. I hadn't expect him to do that, but I was all the more grateful.
Almost every day, I would find myself in the Castle of Oriens to the point where Glenn and I decided that I should stay. To make it easier for me, and the preparations of course.
Glenn and I were in his bedroom while we tried to pick a Wedding cake that we both liked. It was difficult. We both liked two different things.
"Hm..." I absentmindedly bit down on my lower lip and leafed through the other catalogs of Wedding cakes.
"Oh!" I stopped at a page that had a wedding cake that could look like it would be both of our tastes. "What about this, Glenn? It looks white, but it's a chocolate flavor and it has slices of strawberry around it for decoration."
Glenn gently put the catalog in his lap, we were sitting on his couch.
"It looks perfect." He said as he tilted my head up so that he could steal a gentle kiss from me.
"Well," I gently kissed him back and smiled. "I'm glad that we chose our wedding cake, finally."
For a few days now, we couldn't decide on a wedding cake because I wanted m a cake that looked white and had fruit, whereas Glenn wanted a wedding cake that was chocolate flavored. Now, of course, usually a white cake would assume that it was vanilla flavored-- and Glenn didn't like vanilla as much as I did. Even if he hadn't told me, I still knew.
So, this cake was perfect. I mean, as long as the cake had fruit to go with it. Then I could look passed that it was chocolate flavored.
We spent most of the day in his room deciding what kind of food that we wanted for the main course, things like that.
It felt funny to be choosing the food because wouldn't it have been chosen for us already? Well, I guess not. If we were choosing what our guests would eat at the reception.
Yu had came in with tea and a snack. So, Glenn and I decided that we had gotten a lot of things done-- Wedding wise-- for today.
I was sitting against the right arm of the couch, with my legs in Glenn's lap, as I sipped on my tea.
This felt more normal than usual, and I liked it.
Glenn was reading over a few important documents when he had caught me staring at him.
"What," He smiled as he gently rubbed my leg.
"Nothing," I shook my head as I took a last sip of tea. "I can't just stare at you?"
He laughed as he set the documents down on the coffee table before taking my tea cup away from me.
"Not when you're smiling like that, no."
"What does my smiling have to do with me just staring at you?" I said as I felt the smile of my face widen.
Glenn gently brought me to his lap.
"I don't know how to put this nicely," He said as wrapped his arms around my waist, "but you're smiling is getting kind of creepy."
I laughed as I combed through his hair with my fingers. "Is it now? I didn't notice."
"Of course, you wouldn't." He touched my nose with his. "You can't look at yourself."
I absentmindedly bit down on my lip again.
"Well, I'm just happy, that's all." I said as I held his face with my hands.
Glenn's expression became serious, but still gentle.
"You have no idea how happy that makes me feel when I hear that you're happy."
I smiled even wider, if that was even possible, and bit down on my lip once again.
Glenn chuckled as he put his index finger on my lower lip, to keep me from biting down on it.
Silently, he traced his index finger down to my chin and brought my face closer to his.
We kissed, and at first it was a gentle kiss. That's how our kisses were these days, gentle, but it seemed that both of us couldn't help ourselves anymore.
I found myself straddling his lap with my fingers in his hair as we tenderly kissed.
Glenn had his hands on my waist, keeping me there in place.
We were in such a frenzy that I didn't realize that I was trying to unbutton his shirt.
"Linda," He whispered into my ear as he gently kissed my neck.
"Y-Yes," I said, panting a little.
"We probably should stop." He said gently as he kissed my neck again, then my chin, my cheek and then my lips.
That was when I realized that my dress was unzipped and was pushed down to my waist.
Embarrassed, I agreed.
Glenn seemed embarrassed as well as he re-buttoned his shirt.
"I'm sorry," He muttered as he helped me zip my dress back up. "That I stopped, I mean, it's just--"
"No," I stopped him as I brushed a few strands of his bangs away from his face. "It's okay, Glenn. I understand, and besides we'll you know..."
Goodness, how did this become so awkward in a matter of seconds? I thought as I felt my face burn with blush.
"Yes, we will." Glenn laughed in agreement as he gently touched my cheek with his hand. "You're so cute when you blush." He added as he traced a finger down my jaw.
That had only made me blush even more. I bet that I was beet red at that point.
"So do you," I said as I kissed his cheek.
He cleared his throat and wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me with a hug.
We stayed like that for awhile until we decided that it was time that we both retired to our own rooms, for now.
