I was coming home from my job at the bakery when I stopped to smell the roses at a local floral shop, that was close to my apartment.
The florist smiled as I bought a couple of red roses.
"Will you be giving those to a special someone?" She asked as a tall, well dressed man stood a few inches away from me.
"No," I laughed. "They're just for me."
She tilted her head in confusion.
"Today's my birthday," I explained as I got my wallet out. "I just thought that these would lighten my room a bit."
"Well, happy birthday." She smiled as the tall, dressed man came up to me.
"Excuse me," He said in a refined voice. "If I may, could I buy you those for you. I couldn't help but over hearing that it's your birthday."
"Uh," I just stared at him.
The florist was not phased by this. She just let the stranger buy the flowers that I had picked with a few more roses that he had bought for me, to make it a full bouquet.
"Hope to see you next time." She said as the man let me out of the shop.
"You didn't have to buy me more flowers." I said as I fumbled for words.
I looked more closely at his clothes, they were Royal garments.
This man was a Royal, I thought. Maybe a Prince. His silver white hair and lavender eyes looked very familiar, but I just couldn't pinpoint where I've seen him before.
"Everyone should deserve a bouquet of flowers, especially on their birthday." He said gently.
I blushed slightly. "Well, thank you for the bouquet of roses."
"A beautiful bouquet of roses for a beautiful lady." He took my hand gently and kissed it.
"Well, isn't he being a sweet talker." Another tall, man dressed in Royal garment said as he got out of a...long limousine.
"Prince Keith," The man smiled at the stranger who had just arrived, who apparently was the Crown Prince of Liberty.
"Oh, no, I don't think he is." I waved what Prince Keith had said off. "I believe he was just being sweet."
Prince Keith's eyes smiled even though the rest of his face was quite serious. "Prince Edward, sweet? I don't think so."
I pasted a smile on my face as I turned to Prince Edward.
Well, that's why he had looked familiar. He was the Crown Prince of Charles.
"Well, thank you for the flowers." I looked down at the bouquet of roses that were in my arms. "They mean a lot."
He shook his head. "It was my pleasure. It is your birthday after all."
"It was nice to meet you, both of you." I bowed my head, about to take my leave.
"A thought just came to me." Prince Edward held on to my arm. "Would you like to attend a Ball with me?"
Prince Keith rolled his eyes. "You can't be serious, Prince Edward. She's a--"
Prince Edward gave him a warning look, it seemed to have shut him up.
"Would you..." He prompted for my name.
"Oh, excuse me, my name is Linda."
They both frowned when I said my name.
"Linda," Prince Keith looked at Prince Edward with a confused look. "Is that your name?"
