I know of no reason why the Gunpowder treason
Should be ever be forgot!

Anyway the actual poem is much longer than this. I remember hearing about this in the London Dungeon and they "attempted" to have guests join the plot which failed and then they sent us to the executioner/torturer.
But the actual plot was against King James I and his Parliament. Not sure why I didn't learn about it in World History, given that I had to study the English Civil War, Oliver Cromwell, and the Glorious Revolution, which took place after the Gun Powder plot. -_-
