A Christmas gift for Steampowered_Dragon . This is a fairy tale known as the Glass Coffin, but I went and did major edits, mostly because I haven't played Butterfly Soup and because, you know, fairy tales are utterly bizarre. So yeah expect fandoms to cross.

Also I did my best to use they/them/their pronouns for Min but I'm afraid I may have missed a few.

Normally when I do my stories I don't count the notes as part of the story (for the most part), but this time the notes are making me laugh, so they count here.

Also really sorry that this was late-

Min was going to strangle Allura.

Okay not literally. Min knew better than to strangle their mentor, mostly because a) Min would lose their job and b) Allura could kick their ass into next year. However, that didn't mean that Min couldn't get frustrated with the diplomat. Allura was a smart and capable woman, but that didn't mean that she could suddenly leave to partake in a skirmish and leave Min behind without directions to their next meeting. Min had a suspicion that Allura being a diplomat was a cover for another job, like being a general or an assassin, but they didn't have proof. In the mean time, they'll just have to go to the next country and patiently wait for Allura to not return covered in blood..... Again. That was.... Hard to explain to the King of Archenea. Min still didn't know how the King didn't arrest them, but had a sneaking suspicion that it had to do with whom Allura was fighting against......

Min looked at the sheet Allura gave them, reading over some of the information for the next diplomacy meeting. Having done their job in Archanea, they were going to Olkari for a few months as a sign of goodwill from Altea. Min smiled, glad that they didn't have to deal with the Korian princess and prince that were rather destructive. Min was honestly surprised that they haven't caused any collateral damage yet, given how the two destroyed a marble statue sparring.

Min felt something wet drip onto their head and looked up, cursing. It was starting to rain, and Min was nowhere near the castle. Sighing, they looked around until their heart dropped, realizing that they were lost. In a forest. Somehow. After putting the paper away, Min jogged, trying to see if they could find some shelter until the storm passed. Maybe they should have taken up Allura's offer to use a carriage, but given that Allura used the carriage to go into battle.....

"What are you doing?"

Min froze and turned to their right. A small cabin sheltered a man with pink hair and blue eyes, who wore a purplish shirt with black pants and black boots. He held a candle in his hand, and seemed really, really exhausted. Like he had spent hours and hours reading exhausted.

"I'm.... Heading to Olkari's capital."

The man blinked at Min before face palming and shaking his head as he pointed the candle in the opposite direction, causing some of the wax to drip on the ground. "Idiot. Olkari's capital is the OTHER way."

"..... Whoops."

"How the hell did you get lost?"

"Uh.... I have no idea?"

The man stared at Min incredulously. "I have no idea whether I should laugh or face palm again."
