Haunted Houses X Noah Sebastian

It was chilly as Noah and I waited in line for one of the scariest haunted house this place had to offer. Every year, the area that normally held our fairgrounds would host a Halloween blowout, with multiple haunted houses and people outside scaring you. It was basically Halloween Horror Nights but way more affordable.

I hated haunted houses and all things scary with every bone in my body, however, it was Noah and I's tradition  to go as long as he's in town. It always felt good to make Noah smile and laugh, even if it's at my own expense. Some teens in front of us were being quite obnoxious, which sucked because we had no choice but to go in with them because we were put in groups when we entered.

"Jesus fuck!" I shouted as someone grabbed my feet from below. Noah started laughing, but he got startled as well because he was distracted momentarily. We walked through the house (and by walking I mean I clung on to Noah with a deathgrip) without much else happening, except more towards the end where the actors would surround us in a close circle as we moved through the room, shouting phrases at us.

Noah smirked as he pointed to another sign, which was for another haunted house for people 18 and over. I felt my heart race as we got in line, this one being the longest. We waited for several minutes as small groups were allowed in.

I felt lightheaded as I entered with Noah, having a gut feeling that this was a bad idea. As I did in the previous houses,  I let him go in front of me, wrapping my arms around his torso and hiding my face, shouting whenever I saw something flash by. I knew I looked pathetic, but I wanted this to be over as quickly as possible.

After screaming and making my blood pressure increase, it was finally over. I didn't quite feel good, as I felt a chill go down my spine. I then realized I only had a few moments until I was going to puke my guts out.

I ran to the nearest trash can with Noah following me. I proceeded with making the biggest fool of myself as Noah held my hair back, rubbing my back soothingly. I wiped my mouth on the bottom of my shirt.

"Can you drive me home?" I asked. "Of course." He said, wrapping his arm around me as we walked back to his car. I put the radio on to fill the silence between Noah and I. We eventually arrived at my apartment. "Listen, I'm so so sorry about what happened a bit ago, I won't make you go to a haunted house ever again." He said, opening my apartment door. I dove onto my couch as Noah sat down. I nodded.

I rested my head on his shoulder as he turned on the tv. At some point I must have dozed off because I woke up with Noah next to me. Noah stirred, rubbing his eyes. "Shit, I gotta go to the studio." He mumbled, getting up. I stood up, stretching.

"Do you have to leave now?" I said. "I don't have to, but I should leave within the next half hour or so." He replied, sitting at one of the barstools in my kitchen. I put on a pot of coffee and we talked about random things as it heated up. I poured him a cup of coffee as I sat down next to him. "Even though I feel like shit, I'm glad I embarrassed myself with you next to me." I said, rinsing my cup in the sink.

"Me too." He said, grinning. I gave him one last hug as he left my apartment, promising him to take it easy. I laid back down, dreaming of what it would be like to not be scared of everything.
