Beautiful Pain

 Long story short: Vampyro ended up being some really nice guy and everyone in the town deformed into actual people again instead of ghouls. Because of the fact that I am an Eliatrope who can fight pretty well, and I have my own kama, everyone decided to let me stay with them. Oh and get this, I asked Yugo if maybe he knew anything about my parents, and he said he was gonna look for his, and once we find them, I can ask them anything. So now we are searching together!

So Ruel over here decided to take something that looked valuable from someone. Yeah, great idea Ruel. Now we are all running for our lives trying to not get shot with an arrow, and there are about 40 of them shooting at us at the same time. Fantastic!

"Could you not have ignored your Enutrof instincts for once?!" Eva asked obviously freaking out. She was running in front of me, with Amalia behind. As, the Tofu, was leading followed by Ruel and Yugo. Percedal was right behind me, and Amalia was in the back.

"How was I supposed to know those ugly trinkets belonged to them?" Ruel responded while running quickly.

"Well you should have!" I snapped. "Now we're all in trouble because you're a thief!" I yelled trying not to show exactly how irritated I really was.

I heard Amalia scream as she turned around and put her hands up in a blocking formation, just before a bunch of arrows hit her, a small little nature doll thing popped up in front of her and took the hits. She instantly began running again, as did we all.

"Man. They really love those things!" Ruel said looking back a little.

"It doesn't matter anymore! Just keep running so we don't literally lose our heads!" I shouted.

"Just think about the consequences before you take stuff!" Eva snapped. We were all running for our lives and really angry at this point in time.

We kept running for a while, before I had time to notice, Eva said, "why did they stop following us?"

I looked around while running and noticed that they had stopped following us. "Well, now's our chance to get away!" I said encouragingly.

We kept running for a little bit when all of a sudden Amalia freaked out and yelled, "STOP!" She instantly stopped, and so did everyone except me, who accidentally ran into Eva's back. "S-sorry." I stuttered quietly and bashfully. "Don't move another inch!" Amalia continued. Everyone starred at her, gaping and confused.

"What's going on?" I questioned looking around bewilderingly.

"This is a field of demonic roses!" Amalia informed us all, "don't let them get close! With just one bite, they can make a person go insane..."

My eyes widened a little. "I have never heard of these types of roses before..." I said watching my surroundings carefully. In front of us, roses were in the way, and behind we had nasty troll creatures that wanted us dead thanks to Ruel!!

"Yeah well get this, sometimes their bite can kill." Amalia explained. 'Oh crap,' I thought to myself waiting to see what was going to happen. Everyone looked around with fear in their eyes. We could hear little noises that sounded like critters, then the demonic roses came to life and started running at us. Percedal took out Rubilax, his sword, and swung it at the roses. He hit a few of them which was good.

Ruel then began to swing his shovel in a circle, then he hit the ground with the tip of it; sending a shock wave through the ground and into the roses. Orange red and pink petals were flying everywhere. After a path in front of us was cleared, we all began to run across a log that created a bridge to the other side.

Eva was in front of us, with Yugo behind her, who was followed by Percedal, then Ruel. I was behind Ruel with Amalia behind me, all of us running as fast as we could. Then I stopped cold in the center of the bridge as Amalia let out a loud scream and fell to the ground.

"Amalia!" Eva yelled worried about her friend. I noticed a red rose run away from behind Amalia.

"I'll get her!" I yelled as I created a portal behind her and one in front of me, I jumped through it and grabbed her, then instantly began running across the bridge. As I was running, I heard the roses running after me, luckily Eva shot an ice arrow with her bow and made them all fall off the bridge as I made it across.

Yugo looked like he was gonna do something, but I was too fast for him to help her. "Sorry." I whispered softly as I gently placed Amalia on the ground. The soft green grass giving her some cushion.

"The flower that bit her," Eva said, her voice breaking, "what colour was it?" She continued upset. I looked down at the ground, trying not to look at Amalia's still body.

"It was red." Yugo said, his voice cracking a little. I looked up at him and saw tears forming in his eyes, then I looked down again.

Eva said, "that's the worst one," sounding heart broken, then she clenched her fist tightly. "We've lost her."

I didn't know what to do or say, I wanted to make it better, to make her better, but what could I have done?

"There's a legend that speaks of the poison," Eva began as I looked up at her, tears were rolling down her face, "It says 'they were made using a magical essence so Djaul could poison Jiva." She informed to us all. I listened carefully, trying to understand if Amalia could survive or not. "I've never heard of a cure."

I looked down again avoiding any eye contact that could possibly have been made. I wasn't crying though because I didn't really know Amalia that well, but I was very sad...
