"Yugo!" I gasped before trying to run faster.
"Whoa!" Yugo yelped as the breeze caught up to us. It got both of us and sent us flying to the wall. He eventually ran out of breath, so Yugo and I fell to the floor... ground? I mean, we're in a temple or dungeon or something, and it's all rock covered... So like... It's like the ground, but it's a floor?
He turned to us and shot another beam, this time of ice, but I managed to act BEFORE Yugo and made a portal deflecting it, but the other portal I made, missed its target.
The thing retorted by shooting yet another one, but Yugo jumped in front of me and countered the attack like a pro.
"Did that work?" He asked.
"No! His head is still attached!" I informed as the thing swung its fist down, Yugo and I both dodged, going in seperate area's of the room.
"Come on! I'm not scared of you!" Yugo yelled from the other side of the room, getting the things attention. "Grougal asked us to bring him his Dofus and not even you can stand in our way!"
The thing put both of its hands together and swung at full force toward Yugo. I gasped and covered my mouth as I watched, but to my disbelief, Yugo managed to make a portal lazor straight through his hand and into it's chest.
"Wow!" Yugo said as he gave a huge smile and his eyes sparkled. "I... I did it!"
I teleported beside him, "Whoa! That was so cool!" I cheered. But our happy faces turned into those of fear when the possessed statue exploded and the Wakfu being was released from its rocky shell. It slowly faded into the center of the room from whence it came. The ground/floor began to tremble beneath us until it slowly came to a stop.
In the exact same spot the being of Wakfu vanished a decently sized egg rose in the center of the circle.
"Did we do it?" I asked in amazement.
Yugo nodded at me and then walked forward, approaching the egg. I followed behind him, slowly and quietly. Planning my assassination! Muwahaha-
I'm just kidding guys, don't go fliping tables.
Yugo hesitantly reached out for the Dofus. "Grougal?" He asked before grabbing it gently. A blinding light engulfed him for a second before the exit of the temple opened.
We both turned around and smiled at the old man, who was waiting for us.
Yugo held the Dofus proudly in front of him.
"What is that?" The old man asked.
"I told you so!" Yugo said. I giggled a bit at his remark.
"By dragon- How did you?!" The guardian questioned.
"Grougaloragran is my friend, and I made a promise. And a promise is very serious." Yugo explained as the old man fell to his knees and bowed.
We all walked back to the village where Adamai and the two young Osamodas were waiting for us.
"Adamai!" I smiled, "You're powers came back!" I said noticing that he was finally in his dragon form again.
The old man grabbed a bag big enough for the Dofus and gave it to Yugo, who placed the egg in the bad and put it over his shoulder.
Once the two Osamodas left, the old man bowed again. "Master Adamai, please except my apologies! I've been waiting for you for so long. Now that you're here I didn't even recognize you! I am sorry!" He just kept rambling on and on.
"Apology excepted! You won't be punished!" Adamai said, looking at him with a smile.
"Thanks for the bag!" Yugo said. "It'd be ashamed to lose it after all that hard work! Right Kaido?"
I nodded and the old man got up. "It's the least I can do. I am so sorry for being so... So serious."
"You were just being cautious." I said. "It just means that you're taking your job seriously! No need to be sorry about that!"
"Looks like it all worked out!" Adamai said. "We've got the Dofus, I've got my powers back, and you two learnt some new ones!"
"Yeah!" I cheered.
"Now we're ready for Nox!" Yugo said and clenched his fist.
We waved at the friendly people as we walked away.
"That was one strange Bow Wow." Yugo said.
"Yeah, and you didn't even see what he looks like on the inside!" Adamai added.
"Yeah, but he was just being controlled." I said. "He seemed a lot nicer once they removed his collar."
"Yeah..." Yugo agreed. "Say Ad, now that you have your powers back, want to give us a ride home?"
"No way! You're too heavy!" He said. "Heavier than a wild boar!"
"You're the wild boar!" Yugo responded and then all three of us laughed for a bit.
We were all quiet after a while as we made our way to the end of the island. Adamai strayed off to go look for food, leaving Yugo and I just waiting for him in silence.
I glanced over at the Eliatrope and blushed a bit before quickly turning away just before he looked at me.
"Hm? Are you okay, Kaido?" He asked. "You seem awfully quiet."
"I uh..." I responded softly and then looked back at him, trying to avoid eye-contact. "I-it's just... Yugo I..."
"Huh? What is it?" He asked, tilting his head.
"Well, I had a lot of fun... F-fighting along side you today... A-and I..." I paused trying to think of the way to word what I was feeling.
"You?" He pressed.
I felt myself blush deeper and my fous shifted to the ground beside him. "Yugo... I t-think I... Uh... Y-you know... L-like you?" I said.
I glanced up for just a second and noticed a faint blush on his cheeks. "Well, we're friends right?" He asked, being completely oblivious to what I was trying to say.
"Y-yeah but like..." I took a deep breath, "it's more than that."
His cheeks grew a brighter red and before he could respond, Adamai returned. "I got food!" He cheered.
"Sweet! I'm starving!" Yugo said and dug right in.
"Thanks, Ad." I said softly and grabbed some of it for myself. Once we finished eating, we would leave this island and go to the Sadida kingdom, where we would face off with Nox for the last time.
I shouldn't have said anything to Yugo. I should have kept my mouth shut. Now I'll never know if he likes me best, and besides I knew he liked Amalia! Ugh! Why did I say anything?!
Oh well, I just need to focus on the battle at hand. Don't wanna pull a Simon and get Yugo killed.
