~Far off future~

Where am I? Everything's dark. I don't want to go, not yet, but... It looks like, this might be the end. Je suis desole, Yugo... Famille.

"Kaido!"

"Don't give up!"

"Not when we finally found you again."

"I can't lose you again, Kaido... I love you, please..." Yugo?

~Present time~

"Kaido?" Yugo asked, "Are you okay? You spaced out there for a minute."

"Oh, what?" I questioned a bit embarrassed. "No, I'm fine..." I spoke softly. What was that? A vision or a dream? I can't tell what's reality anymore. Better not to worry about it, I need to stay sharp for this battle ahead. I can't let my mind distract me from this. Not this time.

"If you're not ready for this battle-" Amalia started to say, but I cut her off.

"I'm ready! I just- Spaced out." I spoke defensively. "I have to prove that I can be strong, and useful. If not for you guys, then for myself. For my parents."

"Yeah!" Yugo cheered. "Now let's go!"

"We don't have time to waste!" Amalia said.

"I should be the one saying that," I started, "You know... Xelor blood and..."

"Not the time Kaido." Eva said.

"Yeah but-" I stopped and muttered, "I have displeased my lord." Under my breath.

(Wait! Stop! Hold the phone! Friggin Ruel said, "Mega Drill" and moved his arms upward in episode 25 of season 1. Was that a Gurren Lagann reference?! 'Cause if it was I'm going to die, I've cried enough today, I don't need that anime haunting my favourite French Cartoon!! Agh! Okay, okay... Stalling over... Time to end the story...............)

"How did Nox get in?" Amalia asked. "I thought we were well protected..."

"The Noxins are retreating, along with everything else." Eva said as she jumped on the roof of the tower to get a better view. "He tricked us!"

Amalia began to shake mildly as Eva jumped down beside her. "The trees in the clock's path..." The Sadida began. "I can feel their fear. Nox is going to destroy them and they know it." Tears were welling up in her eyes as she spoke with a soft shaky voice.

"YOOHOO!" Dally suddenly yelled while he waved his arms like a wild chicken.

"Agh!" I screamed because he startled me with his loud booming voice, "What the heck Dally?! You scared the living daylights out of me! Holy cripes!"

He shrugged his shoulders before looking toward Amalia and Eva, "What are you all worried about? You look like me when I'm thinking!" He announced as he held his sword to their faces, not in a threatening way, but in a pointing manner.

"Stop fooling around!" Eva yelled, "This really isn't the time!"

"Me? Fooling around?" The Iop yelled and then turned around. "You should listen to yourselves! Anyone would think it was the end of the world for you!"

"But it is the end of the world!" Amalia responded. "Don't you understand? We've been tricked. Nox is going to get the tree of life!" She looked down, "And there will be no one there to defend it."

"The Sadida armies are too far away." Adamai stated. "They won't get there in time to stop Nox from attacking."

"The Xelor's plan is too well thought out." Eva replied as Dally started laughing. "No one?" He asked with a crazed fire burning in his eyes. "Well, what about us?!" Jeez, that Iop can be really scary at times.
