A Glimpse Into the Past

We began to make our way into the thick jungle. The trees were tall and strong with thick brush that just added to the boldness of the jungle. The deeper we got into it the less light there was. The trees were so big that their leaves blocked out most of the light. Though, it wasn't too dark because of the light shining through the small areas creating rays of heaven, as I like to call them. As we were walking something moved a bush which caused Eva to quickly turn around.

"Look over there!" Amalia said and pointed forward, though she didn't seem scared this time. A second later Yugo teleported on a tree just in front of us. I took a closer look to notice some delicious looking fruit that barred an odd resemblance to banana's.

"Wow!" Yugo gasped in excitement as he put his face next to the fruit, "I've never seen fruit like this before!"

"Their called Citrinana's!" Amalia informed as she looked up at him. Oh, that explains why they look like banana's, it's a play on words. Very nicely done Ankama. I am impressed. "Their full of vitamins, their delicious!" Amalia cheered as Yugo tossed a few down to us and she bent down to pick one up, "they used to serve these in the castle some times."

I was distracted by these two and wasn't paying very much attention to anything else. So I decided to teleport up behind Yugo, "can I have some please?" I asked kindly.

"Yeah sure!" He cheered as he gave me one so I could peel it and begin to eat.

"Eva?" Amalia asked but I was too in love with the flavour bursting in my mouth to really pay attention. It was so sweet and good.

"These are so good!" Yugo mumbled while he was eating as well, "what was that Amalia?" Yugo questioned. He looked over his shoulder and then pushed me almost out of the tree. "Amalia's gone!" He said frantically before making a portal and jumping through it to land on the ground. Is that really a bad thing that Amalia is missing though?

I quickly teleported behind him and looked around, "as much as I love Amalia," note the sarcasm there, "you didn't have to try to push me out of a tree. That would have hurt you know..." I said from behind him.

"Right, sorry Kaido." Yugo said turning his head quickly. "Amalia?" He asked, "Eva?" He then created a portal in the sky to get a better look, and as soon as he jumped through it, something snatched him away.

"Y-Yugo?!" I asked and took a step back. "Oh great... Guess I'm next." I mumbled out loud, and what do you know? Every thing went black.

After what I assumed was a while of complete darkness, I very slowly opened my eyes. My body felt weird, like I was upside down, and I could feel my hands tied to something. My vision was blurry at first so I had to blink a few times before I finally noticed that I was tied to a stick and being carried off somewhere. "...Aido, Amalia, Eva." I heard Yugo's voice, "are you guys okay?"

"They look like Sadida's." Amalia stated, "but Sadida's who haven't had a bath in years." I lifted my head as much as I could so I could try to get a glimpse of whatever was carrying me. Of course, it was hard for me to actually see anything though, so I was left wondering. I decided to give up on figuring out anything. I figured we'd just die anyway... Maybe that's what my dreams are trying to tell me, we're gonna die.

~Flashback~

"How pathetic."

"She's just a waste of space."

"Sometime's it's as if she's not even there."

"Gosh, what a freak."

But they were right... Always, they were right... And I know that, so then I didn't I just give up?

"D-don't you feel bad for her though?" The shy one in the group spoke softly. "I mean, her parents died and nobody here likes her..."

"Don't go getting soft." One of the others said. They were all looking at me with their evil eyes. "Don't stare too long girls, you'll turn into whatever 'that thing' is." Then they were gone. They all just walked away and left me there. A crying worthless girl, too young to even know I had powers. Everyone was gone. I was alone, in the cold, with no place to go, and no place to stay. (When it makes Author-San get all teary eyed because it's too easy to relate to.)

"Hm?" An unfamiliar voice said. I noticed a kid come running to me. He was a boy a little taller than me, his hair was orange. "Whoa! Are you okay?" He asked. "Why are you crying? What's wrong?"

I quickly whipped my tears and turned away from him. I didn't know if I could trust him, but I wasn't going to take any chances.

"Hey miss..." He pressed. I ignored him though, "please don't be like that. I just want to help you."

"No." I replied, "they were right. I don't need help, go away." I slowly stood onto my feet. As I stood, my little baby Tofu flew out of my pocket and tried to shoo him away.

"Aww come on, I just want to help..." The boy continued.

"How can I trust you?" I questioned, keeping my voice low and cold as I turned to face him. My cheeks stained with dried tears.

The boy smiled as he held out his hand, "I'm Dallios, but you can call me Dal." He said.

"Name's Kaido..." I replied hesitantly, "what are you doing here anyway?" I had kind of a snobbish tone in my voice as I spoke, I wasn't trying to be rude, but I didn't know if I could really trust him.

"Pleased to meet you Kaido!" He said, smiling wider, but lowering his hand because I didn't grab it. "I'm just looking for my brother, I'd love if you would accompany me on my journey!"

I dunno why, but for some reason I blushed. He seemed genuine and caring enough.

~Current Time~

What was that? I thought to myself. A flashback, or a dream? Something about it seems really familiar though. Just one thing, why would I remember now? And, how did I forget something like that?...

Woohoo! Sorry for the wait! I haven't been very motivated until I started rping Wakfu. Anyway, just a copyright claim, Dallios is NOT my character. HE DOES NOT BELONG TO ME! Dallios belongs to a great friend of mine that I met on DofusTouch. All credit for Dallios belongs to my friend on Quotev named Rubi-Kun. Take care plebs! cx
