Flames. Fire had spread to one of the village houses. There was a lot of smoke in the air and everyone seemed to be freaking out. I noticed Astred hid behind her brother and seemed to be scared. "What happened? I thought you guys beat the bread beast!" I said worried as I looked around frantically.

"Thank you for your help, shortbread!" The weird little guy that was on the bread monster said. Then Yugo charged at the thing and jumped in the air, but he was too late. The little dude poofed away from him an out of harms way.

I noticed Dally stand up with a red mark on his face as a villager yelled, "we've got to save my wheat flour storage!" He was frantic as he paced around everyone.

I shouldn't have left them... I thought to myself, "Aster, can you and your sister help everyone out a little?" I asked.

"Yeah sure! We can heal whoever is injured, I brought some potions." Aster said and gave a warm smile to his sister.

"Great!" I said and ran to Eva and everyone else, about a second later, the tall burning building crumbled to the ground.

Dally had walked over slowly and Yugo turned to him, "why did you attack the baker?" He asked, I had been wondering the same thing for a while.

"I don't know..." Dally said with his eyes wide as he looked at Yugo, "he seemed more menacing than the other one." He finished as he looked at the kid. As he was talking, Aster and Astred came over to us.

"I'm sorry for the fire arrow." Eva said as she looked down, then looked back up like she wanted forgiveness but was too afraid to ask.

"No, you did well." The villager said not looking at us, we could see the pained look in his eyes. "Without you, that monster would probably have destroyed everything."

"I'm sorry I left you guys alone..." I said softly, "I should have stayed to help."
"Yeah!" Amalia said, "we really could have used your help, but no!"

I looked down a little, "I thought the battle was done..." I looked up with a quick realization, "Oh yeah! I met these two Eniripsa's, they said they could stick around and if anyone-"

"Do you trust everyone you meet?" Eva said and opened her mouth to say more, but the villagers wife smiled awkwardly at us.

"How can we thank you?" She asked interrupting us on purpose. Eva gave me a look that almost screamed, 'we'll talk about this later.' "How about breakfast?" The kind woman asked and smiled kindly.

Within a few minutes we were seated in front of huge table with an unbelievable amount of food. And of course, being the Iop he was, decided to grab a long bread with some sort of pink jelly in the middle and then took a big bite, causing a huge mess.

"Dally, that's too much!" Eva yelled, "have some manners!" Then, to everyone's surprise, Eva bit into one as well and was just as-if not more- sloppy as Dally!

Yugo bit into a piece of bread with a smile, "this is the best bread I have ever had before!" He complimented.
I noticed poor Astred had a disgusted look on her face as she watched Dally shove the bread down his throat. I had lost my appetite.

"That guy probably wanted to stop me from participating in the competition." The villager said and he looked like a combination of angry, and sad.

"Every five years, the village organizes a contest for the best bread," his wife explained. She went on to explain how the winner gets to present their work to the king of Bonta.

"Well you can beat that guy, Xav!" Yugo said with an optimistic tone, then his cheer dyed down, "You can still compete, right?" He asked.

"I have no chance of winning without my Golden Wheat Flour," The village man said, he was upset and it was noticeable.

"Xav; that's ridiculous." The villagers wife said to him, "don't tell me you think Ratafouine was the one who controlled that monster."

"Why not? He'll do anything to remain the upper crust of the village!"

Xav, the villager, was so angry he crushed some bread and made the little baby cry. "It's grandpa Ratafouine! Hooray!" A little girl yelled and smiled back at us. Xav's eyes widened when he heard the noise.

The little girl ran outside and looked at the male, "croissants!" She yelled cheerfully, I missed being that young and not understanding the world around me. Then she hugged the old guy, who was as tall as her.

"Now who was playing with matches over there?" The old guy asked.

"As if you didn't know you butcher!" Xav yelled noticeably enraged, which caused Astred to flinch and hide behind her brother.

"It's okay Astred!" Aster said with a smile, "just a little conflict, hehe."

I smiled at the two and then continued listening to the fight.

Xav got right into Ratafouine's face and yelled some more, while Astred continued to hide behind Aster while the fighting went on...
