My name is (Y/N) and I am a wolf shifter. For years I have been the loyal companion of Princess Yona and am bound to her by the sacred bond.
A sacred bond is a contract between servant and master, the servant always being an animal. This bond can only be established with someone of royal bloodline and cannot be undone. After the ritual to bound servant and master is complete, the master will obtain a symbol that represents their servant somewhere on their body. This then becomes to key to keeping the servant under control.
16 years ago I was found as a wolf pup, alone and abandoned by my mother for reasons still unknown. The person who found me was non other than King Il himself. He took me in and cared for me until I was strong enough to move around freely. I was introduced to his daughter, princess Yona, who was only a baby at the time and I instantly felt a connection with the child, staying by her side.
King Il was a kind man and hated the idea of violence. He refused to hold a weapon and vowed to never let his daughter come into contact with one. He however, still wanted her to have protection, which brought him to the idea of a sacred bond. He brought in his personal spell caster and had her bound me to the young princess by the name, (W/N).
My connection with the princess grew and her master symbol became visible on her right hand, at the age of 6. From then on she wore a glove, stating the symbol was ugly and unbefitting of her beautiful skin. This angered me greatly and I began to disobey her orders often, only obeying when it benefited myself.

This confused the king greatly for the bond was absolute. However, I was not pure wolf, I was one of the last Wolf shifters who were thought to have died out long ago. The fact that I was not a pure wolf gave me the strength to disobey the bond, but with great difficulty.
I am 17 in human years now and Yona is 15, soon to be 16. The royal family still believe me to be just an average wolf and I intend to keep it that way. That is, until a series of events caused me to unwilling reveal my self.
