Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Love:

"Spend some time with him and get to know each other. And if you want to speed it along, try flirting with him. Kija gets flustered very easily" I smirk.

"Flirting? I think I can do that"

I look at him sceptically, "are you sure about that?" I tease.

"Yes?" He says unsurely.

"Speak your mind. If he does something cute, tell him he's cute. Complement him from time to time"

"I can do that!" He grins at me. "Thanks for the advice, Alp- I mean (Y/N)".

"No problem. Now get down there before a bunch of women get their filthy paws on him" I grin.

He gasps in horror.

"Nobody touches what's mine!" He scowls and dashes off towards the party not too far away.

I smile at his retreating figure.

"Is this what being an Alpha is?" I say quietly to myself. "I think I like it".

Y/N POV

I start to walk in the direction Vita ran off in, only to cease my steps when I feel another presence watching me.

"Who's there?" I question firmly.

An ominous chuckle follows the question.

"You Wolves are like ants, I'll never be completely rid of you until I stomp out the leader" The all too familiar voice says.

I turn around with a glare, watching as she emerges from the shadows.

"It seems I wasn't as thorough with my extermination as I once thought. Looks like more than one escaped my clutches. No matter though, it'll just make killing you more fun" she smirks.

"Don't you dare hurt him" I warn.

She laughs maniacally for a moment and looks at me with a chilling grin.

"So the pup has grown into an Alpha, but where's the use in that when you only have one wolf to command?" She provokes.

'She doesn't know about the other wolves that escaped. Don't let her figure out that there's more'

'I won't, don't worry'

"I don't need a pack to stop you, Celeritas".

"Looks like someone's inner Wolf has reappeared if you know my name. Please, call me Rita" she smirks.

"I'd rather not be on nickname basis with a murderer, no offence" I glare back.

"Non taken" she grins.

"What do you want?" I ask, taking a step back as she draws near.

"You're got yourself a cute one, haven't you?" She ignores the question.

"What?"

"I believe he's the Blue Dragon, yes?" Her smile sends a shiver down my spine.

"You stay away from him!" I growl.

"I've been watching your little journey. Well, my spy has at least. He's told me a lot about you and of this Dragon Warrior legend. So tell me (Y/N)..."

She suddenly makes a move, now standing behind me, she says next to me ear...

"Do you really love him, or are these feelings a result of this legend?" I can hear the smirk in her voice.

"That's no-"

"Think about it, the Dragon Warriors couldn't resist helping you crimson haired friend, could they? Even the Green one is giving in to the pull. You felt that pull before you even met your blue haired friend, didn't you? That's all it is, a legend forcing you to feel this way" she cuts me off.

"Y-you're wrong" I stutter with wide eyes.

"Or am I?" She chuckles. "All the evidence is right infront if you. You're so caught up in this facade that you don't even realise it".

And then she's gone, leaving me alone on the boat with her words.

'Don't listen to her, she's trying to get in your head to make killing you easier'

'I know, but what she said...'

'Is wrong and not in the slightest bit true. You are your own person and your feelings are yours and yours alone'

'You're right' I say, but not entirely convinced.

'I know I am. Now let's join that party and forget about this idea. We can inform everyone of this encounter after, let them enjoy this victory first'

'Okay'

I take a few deep breaths and head off to the celebration, masking my true feelings on the situation.
