"Shut up! We have no money!! Ao! Stop eating Shin-ah!!" Yoon shouts in distress.
I chuckle and stroke the little fur ball, Shin-ah smiles down at me.
"Heh heh! There's no helping it, Yoon. Today is special" Jae-ha pats Yoon on the shoulder. "Victory! Splendid is it not? For Awa port, which has been cleansed and for the beautiful ladies, we will celebrate this day. My handsome self will now...Strip!"
I hit him up the side of the head in disgust. He crouches on the ground, holding his head with a pout.
"You're so mean, (Y/N)"
"Whatever" I say as Shin-ah wraps his arms around my waist. "What's got you so clingy today? Not that I mind at all" I ask curiously.
"No reason" he says, kissing my cheek.
"Okay~" I say, not buying it one bit.

Y/N POV
I look down at my torn attire in distaste, examining what's left of it after multiple shifts.
'One more shift and this outfit will be no more, I should definitely change'
"I'll be right back. I need to change out of these clothes" I say to the group.
They nod in understanding and I pull away from Shin-ah's hold.
"I'll only be a few minutes" I smile at Shin-ah.
"Okay, be careful" he says with a hint of worry.
"I will" I reassure and head in the direction of the ship.
(Small Time Skip)
After changing back into my usual attire, now feeling much more comfortable, I notice a familiar head of hair watching the ocean's waves. I make my way over, sensing their aura of sadness.
"Vita? What's wrong?" I ask as my steps come to a halt next to the boy.
"Alpha? I'm fine" he forces a smile my way.
"Call me (Y/N)" I smile warmly.
"A-are you sure? I don't want to be disrespectful" he says with wide eyes.
"Yes, I'm sure" I chuckle. "Now tell my what's got you so down?"
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it"
"I might be of some help" I urge.
He sighs and turns his attention back to the calming waves.
"It's my mate" he says quietly, but my ears pick it up easily.
"What happened?" I question curiously.
"I did as you said, I told him everything he needed to know".
"That's good. So, what did he say?"
"He told me that we should get to know each other before anything romantic. He didn't use the exact words, but he was rejecting me, wasn't he, Alpha?" He looks down with tear filled eyes.
I smile at him, ignoring his continued use of my title, and place a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Vita, he wasn't rejecting you"
"He wasn't?" He peers at me with hopeful eyes.
"Humans live differently to Shifters. Yes, Kija isn't entirely human, but he has still been raised in human cultures. For them, love is something they feel over time. The way to his heart is to spend time with him, become friends and then that friendship can develop and eventually become something more".
"That sounds like it could take awhile" he says with a thoughtful look.
I laugh at his bluntness.
"Not necessarily. It didn't take too long for Shin-ah and I to get together"
"But how can I get close to him?"
"Spend some time with him and get to know each other. And if you want to speed it along, try flirting with him. Kija gets flustered very easily" I smirk.
"Flirting? I think I can do that"
I look at him sceptically, "are you sure about that?" I tease.
"Yes?" He says unsurely.
"Speak your mind. If he does something cute, tell him he's cute. Complement him from time to time"
"I can do that!" He grins at me. "Thanks for the advice, Alp- I mean (Y/N)".
"No problem. Now get down there before a bunch of women get their filthy paws on him" I grin.
He gasps in horror.
"Nobody touches what's mine!" He scowls and dashes off towards the party not too far away.
I smile at his retreating figure.
"Is this what being an Alpha is?" I say quietly to myself. "I think I like it".

(A/N: I'm sorry this took so long, I've been pretty busy with Christmas and the New Year. On top of that, my WiFi went down for awhile.
