Chapter 28

Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Love:

"Are you to..." Yona starts.

I smile and nod. Kija and Yoon smirk, while Yona squeals is excitement, tackling me in a hug.

"I'm so happy for you two!" She exclaims excitedly.

I laugh at her reaction. I see Kija playfully punch Shin-ah on the shoulder with a smirk.

"This is so exciting!" Yona says. I laugh.

"Well it's going to get even better" I smirk.

"What do you mean?" She asks in confusion.

"Well it's your turn of course" I say.

"What?" She asks.

"You and Hak are next silly" I smile.

"Not going the happen" she says, but the smile doesn't leave her face.

"We'll see" I say and she just smiles.

I sit next to Shin-ah with my head on his shoulder, as we wait for Hak's return.

Y/N POV

"What? You didn't buy anything? Why'd we even bother sending you? You're useless!" Yoon exclaims irritably.

"Sorry, there weren't any decent shops" Hak replies.

'A lie, I can see it on his face. He got into trouble didn't he?' I smirk to myself.

"Guess we can't rely on Thunder Beast. We're going into town tomorrow" Yoon says.

"Yay" Yona shouts happily.

Kija starts talking to Shin-ah as I walk away to Hak, who is now alone while Yona converses with Yoon.

"So Hak, what trouble did you cause in town?" I say quietly, so only he can hear.

"What are you talking about?" He replies.

"Don't lie, I can see it on your face. Something happened" he sighs, knowing I won't let up.

"I may have knocked out a few officials in town. They were harassing a woman, but there was another guy helping so it wasn't all me" He says nonchalantly.

"Are you still going back tomorrow with the others?" I ask.

"Yes, but I plan to go around town alone, so the others are out of harms way" he says.

"Then you won't mind me coming with you then" I state.

"Stay with the Princess" he orders.

"Nope. I want to look at weapons and you're the only one going to a place like that. The others will need to stay with Yona and I know Shin-ah won't let me go alone" I say simply.

"Why would Shin-ah care if you're alone?" He smirks. "You confessed while I was gone, didn't you?"

"Maybe" I say, not making eye contact.

"Fine you can come with me, but don't tell the others about the officials" he concludes.

"I won't" I smile.

I wake up to Shin-ah snuggled into my fur. Since it's easier for me to sleep comfortably, I always sleep in my Wolf Form.

'Looks like somebody decided to take advantage of my soft (F/C) fur' I give a wolf-ish smile.

"Wake up lovebirds, we're leaving soon" Hak calls.

I role my eyes at the nickname and nudge Shin-ah awake with my nose. He gradually wakes up and moves into a sitting position. I shift back into my human form next to him.

"Taking advantage of my fur were you?" I tease.

"Yeah" he smiles, placing a kiss on my forehead head and standing up.

I smile as he extends a hand to me. I take it and he helps me to my feet.

"Thanks" I smile as we make our way to the others.

"No problem" he replies.

Once we reach the others, Yoon starts talking.

"The direction Kija and Shin-ah indicated places the Green Dragon near the shore line on the outskirts of town. So he's not in town at all?" Yoon says.

"That's too bad" Yona replies.

"Yeah" Yoon answers.

"I'm going to head off with (Y/N), she wants me to show her the weapons shop and I want to look myself" Hak says.

"Be careful" Shin-ah tells me.

"I will" I smile as he kisses me on the cheek. I blush and return the favour.

Yona and Hak have a similar exchange, minus the kissing. Unfortunately.

"Make sure he gets the shopping done this time (Y/N)" Yoon tells me.

"Will do!" I say, giving him a salute.

"Let's go (Y/N)" Hak calls.

"Coming!" I reply.

I put on my (F/C) cloak to hide my wolf features, as we separate from the others and head into town.
