A/N: Double update coming up. Chapter 9 will be released tomorrow. Enjoy.
Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Love:
"I'm here to give you this gift on behalf of the village Chief. It is clothing made from Lupus Linteum, it is very rare and was worn by Viribus Lupus himself. It allows you to transform without tearing you clothing" she informs me.
"Thank you. This will be very helpful on my journey" I say accepting the gift.
"You're most welcome Lady (Y/N). We shall take our leave of you so you may change peacefully. After that, please visit the Chief as he has one final gift for you" she says.
"Very well" I reply.
She then leaves the room with all of the maids. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
'Speaking polity takes a lot of effort, I can't wait to talk normally once I leave'
I put on the clothing she gave me and looked into a mirror.
'Not too shabby, I like it and it fits perfectly'
The outfit looks like what an Assassin would wear. It's black with areas covered in what appears to be leather but in actual fact it's Lupus Linteum. It has a hood to allow me to hide my ears, however nothing to disguise my tail. It is also equipped with many hidden pockets for various weapons and a sheaf on the back for a katana. Finally there is a face mask to allow me to hide my identity, so I guess showing my tail won't matter if people don't know who I am.
Once I finish inspecting my new outfit I head off to find the village chief, curious as to what it is he wishes to give me.
Y/N POV
I find the chief in the living room of the building I stayed in that they call a "castle".
"I was told you wanted to see me" I say, catching his attention as he turns to face me.
"Ah yes, I wanted to give you this" he says handing me a box with a wolf symbol engraved on it.
It was a long box, about a meter possibly longer. I open it to reveal a pure black katana with a (F/C) coloured strip along the blade. On the handle it has the same wolf engraving as the box in (F/C) too. I look at it in awe as the chief begins to explain.
"This is the very same katana used by your ancestor, Viribus Lupus. What the legend did not say was that he was, in fact an Assassin before he was bound to King Hiryuu" he said seriously.
"He was?" I question.
"Yes and unlike the Dragon Warriors, he was less than willing to join in Protecting King Hiryuu. That is why he was bound with the sacred bond, it was to force him into helping. However, over time he warmed up to King Hiryuu and the Dragon Warriors, to the point where Hiryuu no longer needed to use the bond to make Viribus follow orders" he says, pausing to look at me. "But even then he was still heartless and void of any emotion other than anger. However, that changed when he met someone, fell in love in fact. But that story is irrelevant at the moment" he then turns around picking something up.
"Wait... who did he fall in love with?" I question, slightly curious.
He just smiled and said "the answer to that question is something you will find out soon enough"
"What do you mean?" I ask, but he ignores my question and hands me a bag. I look in it and say "throwing knives?"
"A gift for you, along with the sword. The Dragon Warriors may have inherited traits of a dragon, but you inherited Viribus' Assassin abilities, along with being a Wolf Shifter. However, I also see you developed his emotionless attributes too" he says, slightly amused.
I just stare at him completely unamused. He laughs at my reaction.
"Anyway, now that you have your weapons I think it's time you continue your journey" he says, heading to the door.
I put the sword in it's sheath and placed it on my back. I then placed the throwing knives in the various hidden compartments in my outfit. I followed him to the entrance of the village where everyone has gathered to see me off.
"Good luck (Y/N), I hope you find Yona soon" the chief says.
"Good bye Lady (Y/N)" the old woman says, with tears in her eyes.
'Why do people keep crying when I leave, especially the ones who only know me for a short period of time...'
"Bye, thanks for everything" I say, before pulling my hood up and leaving.
(Time skip brought to you by Ao)
I've been walking for a while now, but Yona's scent has been getting stronger and stronger. I'm walking next to a pathway in the forest, so as not to be spotted by anyone passing by. That's when I hear talking. I pull my hood down slightly to reveal my ears and listen in.
"You can sense the presence of the other dragons, right? Tell me which one is closest" a boy says.
'This sounds promising, maybe it's Yona's group' I think to myself.
"I feel that the closest one is... Seiryuu perhaps" another says. The mention of that name causes my heart to beat faster.
'What is this feeling?' I question to myself.
My thoughts are cut off by the sound of a girlish scream coming from the guy who spoke last. I walk closer so I can see the group. I see Hak bickering with a white haired guy with Yona next to him.
'Wait! Yona! Finally I found her'
I start to make my way towards them when I stop.
'They don't know my human form... I should shift first'
At that thought I shifted in to my wolf and to my surprise my outfit did not tear, but disappear.
'The old woman was right, so it should reappear along with my weapons when I shift back'
I carried on towards the group, when suddenly a group of bandits surround them. I growl in annoyance.
