My name is (Y/N) and I am a Wolf Shifter. For years I have been the loyal companion of Princess Yona and am bound...
"She's right. And at least these two would be in safe hands" Gi-gan agrees, gesturing to Yona and Yoon.
I felt a hand on my wrist and turn around to see Shin-ah with a worried expression. I smile and wrap my arms around his neck.
"Don't worry Shin, I'll be fine. I'm a Wolf Shifter and they're a bunch of weak and pathetic humans" I reassure him.
He takes a moment before nodding.
"Okay" He says.
I smile and give him a small peck on the lips. He smiles back and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me in for a hug.
"Then it's decided. Yona, Yoon And (Y/N) will infiltrate the ship and set off a flare. The deal takes place in two days. We'll infiltrate them tomorrow. Let's put together a plan" Gi-gan concludes.
"Okay" Everyone replies.

3rd Person POV
Captain Gi-gan sat alone, staring out into the clear night sky in thought. However, she is pulled from her thoughts by the sound of footsteps, followed by a voice.
"Thank you" Yona says when she reaches the woman.
"For what?" Gi-gan questions.
"For letting me do this" she elaborates.
"It struck me as what needs to be done, that's all. Those captured women must be terrified and feeling helpless. I want you to protect them" the Captain says calmly.
"I will" Yona says firmly.
"We won't get off easy in this battle. I always ask the impossible from my boys. It's not easy to defeat the enemy without killing them" she says, with slight worry.
"It'll be fine. Hak and the others are here" the princess reassures.
"You shouldn't be so careless with your life, either. Once you joined my crew, you became like a daughter. I won't let you die on me" Gi-gan states.
Yona stays quite, looking down sadly.
"What is it?" Gi-gan questions.
"I don't remember my mother very well, but... looking at you and hearing you speak makes me tear up. You're strict, but also kind. I wonder if this is what it's like to have a mother. It's something I've yearned for. And it makes my heart ache" she says, tears falling from her eyes.
Gi-gan wipes her tears away in a caring manner, comforting the crying princess. An onlooker watched with eyes full of envy, hiding in the shadows. They heard the entire conversation and found themselves filled with jealousy. Ignoring the feeling, they leave the scene quietly and unnoticed. Or so they thought. Captain Gi-gan had noticed their exit, along with the emotion in their eyes, as they glimmer in the moonlight. Yona left shortly after, unaware of the witness to her conversation.
Y/N POV
I walk quietly across the moonlit deck, towards the nose of the ship. Leaning against the rail, I release a sigh as I look up into the star filled sky. I hear footsteps approaching from behind me and the owners scent invaded my nostrils. I scowl and return to my usual stoic expression.
"Are you ok?" The person asks.
"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" I snap.
"Because I saw the emotion in your eyes back there" they say.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Captain" I lie, starting to become irritated.
"I think you do" she says, standing next to me.
"Why would you care?" I spit, annoyance lacing my voice.
"Because the moment you joined this crew you became like a daughter to me too" she says with a smile.
"I had a mother and she's gone, I never even knew her. I only have one memory of her, and it's far from happy. What makes you think that I want a mother figure, after everything that's happened to me?" I say with malice.
"You're scared of losing, aren't you? You don't let people in, because you're scared of losing them like your mother" she says sadly.
"Don't talk like you know me! You know nothing about me!" I say, letting my emotions take over. "Why can't people just mind their own business!?" I start to shout, clenching my fists in the process.
'This isn't good. If I don't control my emotions, I'll lose control... again'
Gi-gan takes a few steps back, noticing my distress. Luckily for her, my outburst gained everyone's attention, as the silent night is disturbed. Yona, Hak, Kija, Shin-ah, Yoon and Jae-ha are the first to arrive, followed by a few crew members.
"It's my business, not yours! You have no right to stick your nose in it, like I'm a mystery to be solved!" I continue, enraged.
'It's happening again and I can't stop it'
When my eyes turn (W/E/C), Jae-ha pales, recognising the emotion emitting from me all too well.
"(Y/N), calm down! This isn't you and you know it! Don't let your emotions control you again!" Yona pleads.
I give her a side glance and release a low growl, not noticing as Hak whispers something to Jae-ha. I take a hostile step forwards and Gi-gan takes a cautious one back.
'(Y/N), stop this! You'll regret your actions if this continues' (W/N) attempts to gain my attention.
I'm about to take another step, when Jae-ha suddenly lands in front of me, accompanied by Shin-ah. Before I can register what's happening, warm arms encase me in an embrace. I struggle in his grip, but his voice soothes me.
"Calm down" he say quietly.
I stop my struggles and my eyes widen in realisation. They return to their usual (E/C) and I do something that hasn't happened in years. I sob uncontrollably, releasing all my built up sadness. I don't even try to hide it as I cry into Shin's shoulder.
"I-I'm... s-sorry" I say between sobs.
"It's ok, we all need to cry sometimes. You just needed a push" Gi-gan smiles, as if I wasn't a threat to her life only moments ago.
"Are you saying you planned this?" Jae-ha asks in shock.
"Maybe" she smirks, walking away.
Everyone else follows until it's just our group left. They smile at the scene in front of them.
"We'll leave you both alone for a bit" Yona says, before they walk away, leaving only Shin-ah and I left.
He gently picks me up bridal style when my cries become nothing but sniffling. I start to fall asleep in his arms as he takes me to where we have been sleeping. He lays me down and kisses my forehead.
"Good night" he says quietly and turns to leave, however I reach out and grab his wrist.
"Can you stay... please" I say tiredly.
He smiles and nods, laying down next to me. He wraps his arms around my waist and I cuddle into his chest. I fall asleep engulfed in his warmth, with a small smile gracing my lips.

(A/N: Well that happened. On a lighter note, the next chapter will be quite entertaining. I have plans that (Y/N) will definitely be opposed to 😏)
