Sting POV

I feel Misaki tense up against me as she hears the door being rattled. "MISAKI!" The voice yelled, booming through the door. Misaki whimpers and I look down at her worryingly.

"What was so bad about her mom? Nothing too bad that she would act like this right?"

After about 10 minutes of anxiously waiting, we finally hear a faint 'tch' and the door opening and closing. We wait 10 more minutes before Misaki says it's okay to open up.

Once we were both out of the cramped space, we stumble out, our lungs happy that they finally get a taste of fresh air. I was still blushing, a faint tint still on my face.

"So, what was that all about?"Sting  asked softly, making sure for a gentle approach. Misaki rubs her arm, wincing for a second when her hand runs over her upper arm.

"M-My mom hasn't been herself since my D-Dad, u-uh," Misaki pulls on her uniform collar with her finger.

"What do I say?! I've vowed that I don't speak of daddy's dea--" Misaki thought, and before she could completely think of an answer she states,

"L-Left." She chocked out. Sting looked at her skeptically. Lucy had taught Sting some tricks to eye reading but he didn't remember most of it.

All he really wanted to learn was when people were lying. He couldn't do much, but knew just enough to remember what signals lies. Sting gazed into Misaki's eyes as she looked at him weirdly.

"Tell me the truth." Sting tested. Misaki's eyes widened at the accuracy of Sting's accusation. "H-How'd you find out?"

"Whoa! That worked! Thanks Luce!" Sting yelled up to the sky. "Umm?"

Sting looked back at Misaki. "So tell me, what's it really about?"

"R-Really? She did all of that to you for that....? For something you couldn't control?"

Misaki quietly nodded. Her black shoes gleaming in the sunlight as she looked down at her feet. "I'm gonna kill her" I said furiously.

She quickly ran up to me, shaking her head. "Please! Don't! Even if you report her, it never works. Trust me, you're not the only one who's tried to report her for child abuse, she's manipulative, insane, and evil."

"What? How can she get out of being reported for private abuse?" I cock my head, my earring slightly flashing in the window.

"She's very high ranking, she's perfect in the public eyes and plays off like I'm suicidal, that's why when people inspect me, they think I'm abusing myself."

"How could she possibly be that important to get away with that?!"

"She's an Akiyama, that name seems to get away with everything. Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it" She smiles sadly.

My eyes widened.

Akiyama, Akiyama, Akiyama!

What was it?

Flashback (When they were twelve)

"Ugh, this client is so annoying." Lucy grumbled. "What's wrong with it?" Rogue asked, wanting a distraction from his own business lessons.

"They're so persistent, I've already declined them seven times! Seven! They want to be moved into the Heartifilia building, but they can't seem to get through their thick skull that they will only bring our reputation down!"

"How so?" I chimed in, also wanting a distraction from the boring homework.

"She doesn't have a very clean record. Well, it says she does but it was so obviously hacked! Ugh, it's just that I can't fire her completely yet because those lessons are next year." Lucy whines, rubbing her Brown eyes while Rogue looked at Lucy's computer screen intrigued.

Rogue was about to ask something before I cut him off. "What's the clients name? I know they're in your section  but it wouldn't hurt to tell!"

"Hm, something like, I don't know, like, Yuki Akiyama?"

Yuki Akiyama? Akiyama? Akiyama?

Flashback end

I smirk at Misaki.

"You may be surprised at what I can do."
