Igneel stood, his rough, calloused hands resting on the table as his wife whispered his long term dream of working with the Heartfilias.

"Well? Igneel, this is huge. If Natsu actually manages to pull this off, he's going to be happy, and we'll have an alliance!" Igneel shook his head, looking down at the table, casting a shadow over his eyes.

"No, no, no, it's not that... it's just," Grandeeny raised an eyebrow. "As far as I know, Lucy Heartifilia is amazing and excels in just about everything you throw at her. She goes to a topped ranked school and I know that she's number one. Also, since she's come here, I know that she's beautiful, artistically talented, and an amazing cook..."

Grandeeny nodded, not knowing where her husband was going with this. She took another sip of her tea as Igneel continued to mutter to himself.

Igneel gripped his blood red hair. "So why in the world has she chosen to go on a date with a messy, idiotic, pink head, that we call our son?!"

"Igneel!" Grandeeny scolded as she smacked him on the head. "That's no way you should be talking about our son!" Igneel rubbed the top of his head in pain.

"I mean, it's tr—ow! Where did that come from?!" Grandeeny had a thick dictionary in her hand, as she tapped her foot on the floor disapprovingly.

"Mom, Dad? Do you think this looks okay?" Natsu had peeked his head around the corner, purposely hiding behind a wall. The two furrowed their brows.

"Natsu honey, we can't see your outfit." Natsu shyly walked out from behind the wall. Igneel And Grandeeny gasped.

"You look so handsome!" Natsu scratched his cheek

"You look so handsome!" Natsu scratched his cheek. "I couldn't find any button up shirts, so I just decided to go with this." He smiled.

"Well, I gotta go, I'll see you later!" Natsu said as he left the house.

"W-Wow." Was all Natsu could say as he saw Lucy.

Lucy giggled

Lucy giggled. "I thought I said no tux?" Natsu smiled cheekily. "Well, I had no button up shirts, so I decided on this... and you look... beautiful."

Lucy blushed, making Natsu's heart melt. "Well, should we go in?"

"We should." Natsu nodded. The two walked in together. The waiter seated them with a smile and made a small conversation with Lucy that Natsu couldn't hear, which made him agitated.

"Thanks, Luke, I'll have the usual and Natsu, what would you like?" Lucy stated looking over at the pink headed boy. "Oh, uh, I'll have the fire roasted salmon please." The waiter nodded then left to the kitchen.

Lucy rested her chin on her propped up hands. She smiled. Oh, Natsu could definitely get used to this.

A romantic walk in the park at night, what an excellent idea! Natsu wanted to be with Lucy just a bit longer, so a nice walk was what came to mind.

"I really enjoyed tonight Natsu.." Lucy said, putting a piece of blonde hair behind her ear. Natsu nodded. "Me too." Natsu breathed out. Lucy stopped walking and turned towards Natsu.

"I'm hoping there'll be a next time..?" Lucy said leaning forward. "Only if you want." Natsu answered leaning closer.

They both leaned in, closing their eyes.

Just a bit closer.

Centimeters apart, they finall—

RING RING RING

They quickly pulled apart, Natsu silently cursing at the phone. Lucy picked up as she turned away from Natsu.

"Hello?"

"Rogue, I told you already!"

"No!"

"I was in the middle of something important!"

"I'll show you when I get back to the house."

"I don't have a mental map in my brain, I'll show you later."

The call ended, but so did the moment.
