This chapter is just whats happening back at Fairy Tail in third person view most of the time. Wanted to create more tension because that's who I am. (Just pretend its modernized and crap in the year 791, because I'm way to lazy to think of a perfect year to set this in.)
It was October 17, year 791. It was a normal day for most students at the low ranked school in Magnolia, except for the unsettling rumor spreading around.
"Did you hear? Lucy Heart from Sabertooth went back to Crocus for a visit!"
"So?"
"And she brought Zeref with her! Like, THE Zeref, you know, the loser?"
"No way, someone her status shouldn't be talking to rubbish like him."
More rumors spread about the two students, the next one more unsettling than the last, one after another until in got out of hand. To the point where it was a featured part on the school gossip page.
LUCY HEART FROM SABERTOOTH POSSIBLY DATING ZEREF THE LOSER?!
From our sources, we have found out Lucy Heart from Sabertooth Private Academy went back to visit Crocus to see her father. We have also noticed that Zeref Dark, —(Don't continue reading this A/N if you haven't finished the anime!
I know that his last name is Dragneel, but I can't afford having Zeref be Natsu's brother in this fanfic, so yeah)
— has also disappeared at the exact same time, and is predicted to come back at the same time also. From these predictions, we believe that Lucy Heart is dating Zeref Dark and that they are spending time together in Crocus.

Rogue POV
"I wonder how Lucy is going to react" I thought aloud as I deflated in the comfy white couch. "I dunno" Sting answered across the room on the long couch.
"It was rhetorical" I called back as I typed in another comment to try to intimidate the Fairies to take down the page.
"Lucy saw it already but she hasn't commented anything" Yukino states as she lays on her back to type another comment.
"She hasn't done anything actually, she hasn't liked, commented, or shared anything." Minerva comments as she leans on the couch Sting is occupying.
"Anyone else thinking why she took Zeref with her anyway?" Yukino asked softly. "Yeah, why did she take Zeref? Sting, Rogue, do you guys know?" Minerva asked, turning her head towards Sting then me.
Sting's eyes were glued to his phone as he typed. "Rogue can tell you" Sting said, seeming to press send with a satisfied smile. "Zeref was being extremely bullied physically and the students know where he lives."
"Oh my god, I didn't think it was that bad." Yukino said worryingly. "What?" Minerva asked scarily. "Zeref is being brutally bullied." I answered once more.
"No I heard you."
"Then why did you ask 'What?' " I thought grumpily. I was already in a bad mood from Minerva. She had made me hack into the gossip page since she overheard other students talking about it.
I mean don't get me wrong. I love hacking, it's just pages like these are super annoying to hack because you have to do the same thing like a billion times. Then you have to do a crap ton of typing that I'm to bothered to do.
So yeah. I'm salty.
I could've spent that precious time reading my Yuri On Ice manga.

Natsu POV
"W-What?" I asked myself as I scrolled through more comments of the student gossip page. I only checked it occasionally but the notification caught me off guard. All I could see was,
LUCY HEART FROM SABERTOOTH POSSIBLY DATIN...
I've never clicked on something so fast. As I read through the article and comments, the more I believed it.
"Did she think my confession was a joke?"
"Maybe, I heard that she overheard some other girls gawking over me..."
"Do I look like a jock? Or worse, a player?" I think to myself as I walk over to the mirror and look at the reflection.
"Holy crap, I do..." I say to myself as I hear a quiet buzz from my phone. I walk over to the bed and pick up the small device. I turn on my phone to a wall screen with a selfie of Lucy and I at the Park with Wendy and I smile.
My smile falters and my eyebrows knit together as I look at the notification.
