"Wow, you really are better than me." I smile as Zeref spins me to the beat. We come back together and start dancing again. "Nah, I would probably trip and fall on my face if I tried to do one of those twirly things."
We chuckle and take a seat after the song ended. "Lucy! Come come! Dance with your old pops!" Dad yelled. "Okay!" I yelp back as I turn towards Zeref.
"I guess you can enjoy the food." I say jealously. He smirks and grabs a plate from the side before filling it with the delicious food. I huff and walk over to Dad elegantly. I grab his hand and bow down.
The music starts and we start dancing together. "Nothing makes me happier than dancing with my daughter." He said happily sighing. "Same here!" I smiled happily, before quickly realizing what I said and blushed.
"What?!" Jude said urgently. "You have a daughter?!?!"
"No, no, no! I meant dancing with you!" I reassured awkwardly. "Oh, alright." The song ended and everyone clapped with their partners. As I was walking back, I saw someone around our age talking to Zeref and I wanted to know what it was about.
I quickly go into ninja mode as I crouch on the opposite side of the food table. "Nin nin!" I whisper to myself.
"—really think you're good enough for her? She's a Heartifilia for Pete's sake! What are you Huh? Maybe you're just lying about being her boyfriend though, there are more than a few gold diggers here."
I growl at his words and sneak behind them. I put on a happy act and start running. "Zeref! Let's get more fooood!!" I said, pulling on his arm. I act as if I've just noticed the man in front of me and I smile at him, getting a smirk back.
"Hello, I'm Lucy Heartfilia, and you are?"
His smirk widens. "I'm Jason Rutherford. Nice to meet you." He reaches out his hand for me to shake, his smirk still present.
"Oooh! You have eyes like Rogue! Blood red!" I squeal, no one I've met ever had natural red eyes like Rogue and they greatly intrigued me. "Oh? Really? You want a closer look at them?" He asked, taking off his glasses.

"Very interesting, but I've gotta get going! The food is calling me, Come On Zeref." I said pulling him along. "W-Wait! I just have one more question." Jason said urgently. "Hmm?" I turned around.
"What is this man to you?" He said rudely pointing to Zeref. "My boyfriend." I said blankly as I grabbed Zeref's arm and walked off.
We walk in the far corner and sit down. "Ughh, these get me so riled up, it's exhausting." I said, placing my forehead on Zeref's shoulder. "Yeah." He nods. We hear a faint snap but ignore it.
"Well, time for food!"

I open my phone and I pull my hand up to my mouth. It was a picture of Lucy leaning her forehead on Zeref's shoulder. It was very I'm recent too,

I get up and go towards the music room to clear the contaminated thoughts.

I practice the piano more, making sure the skill level was high enough so that it was a for sure win.
