One Last Time

Day 3 -continued-

As I parked in front of the house.  I looked over to see Justin asleep while I stopped the engine. "Justin?" I whisper and there's no response. I poke him with a finger and again,  nothing. "Justin?" I shake him gently and his eyes flutter open. "We're here." He notices me and sits right up.

"Ugh" He groaned,  rubbing his eyes. He looked adorable somehow, "Sorry I went to sleep in your car."

"Well there's my bed or the couch,  if you're still sleepy." I offer but he shakes his head and we both step out of the car with our coffee and walk up the steps. I take my keys and unlock the door, going inside as Justin follows.

"So when will your friend get here?" He asks while closing the door.

"I don't know." There was a knock on the door right after,  Justin opened it since he was closer.

"Hi guys!" Katherine greets as I notice she has two bags of groceries.

"What's in there?" I ask as she directs herself to the kitchen and places the bags on the table.

"Well since you were bringing Justin along. I brought some stuff we can do. You guys like baking?" She takes two packages of cake and cookie mix.

"I do. Not good at it but whatever" Justin admits,  putting his head in his pockets.

"Also brought 'Cards Against Humanity.'" She takes them out of the other bag. "A pack of 'truth or dare' cards and 'Uno'. "

"Sounds lame." I joke

"What,  is playing games and baking for kids only?"

"No,  but it's a little immature."

"It's a rainy day. It sounds fun. Besides,  to live it up a bit I also got-" She takes out a bottle of wine. "This bad bitch!"

"I suddenly feel thirsty." I go up to the bottle and read the labels and things like that. It was a strong ass wine.  "Is this okay Justin?"

"Y-yeah." He nods.

"Great!"

"I think this one goes to Justin,  again!" Kathy hands her black card to Justin as I was laughing a bit.

"Let's play another game." We were playing Cards Against Humanity but Justin always kept winning because he had good humour.

"Imma go check on the cookies." Kathy says before heading off to the kitchen.

"Enjoying yourself?" I ask Justin and he smiles.

"Yeah,  better than staying at home." His face goes blank for a second,  he clears his throat after,  "So-um- are you having a good time?"

"Hell yeah. I didn't know you were that funny." I smile like an idiot,  but try to tone it down. I take my phone that's connected from my small speaker and change the song since we were playing some music.

"Is that a compliment or-?"

"Yes,  yes it is." We both smile at each other.

"Come get cookies!" Kathy shouted and we both got up like kids,  running towards the kitchen. "There's only chocolate chip." The cookies were still on the tray so we just scraped them off and ate it one by one. It was soft and chewy, "Mm- these are good. Can I grab some milk from the fridge?" She asks and I nod.
