Chapter 26.
TAYLOR'S P. O. V.
I wake up to a buzzing sound on the nightstand. My eyes slowly open, and my vision is blocked by a body. It's way too hot, my clothes feeling wet from my skin. It takes only seconds to remember the night before. A small smile reaches my lips and I take a deep breathe in, soaking up Zach's scent. The buzzing starts to become annoying and I internally groan clenching my fists, which were now resting at his back. Sometime during the night I unfisted Zach's shirt and wound my arms around his waist instead.
I slowly pull away but my hands still rested on his stomach. His shirt is slightly hitched up and his belly button was showing. I almost laugh until I still hear a buzzing. I gently remove his arms from around me and turn over to look at the small table.
Next to Zach's glasses and the TV remote were both of our phones next to each other, and his screen was lit up with the words "Get ready for school". Fucking idiot didn't turn off his alarm. It must've been buzzing all morning, because it's set for 6:45 and its already 7:30. I dismiss the alarm and roll my eyes at Zach for waking me up on a weekend so early.
Realizing suddenly how bad I have to pee, I swing my legs off the bed and stand quietly without disturbing Zach.
ZACH'S P. O. V.
I tap the space next to me three times. Sure enough, the bed is empty except for me. I open my eyes and sit up quickly, praying that Taylor didn't leave without saying goodbye. I sigh in relief when her clothes from last night are still folded neatly next to the bed. Rubbing my eyes, I stand up looking around the room for any trace as to where Taylor is.
Before I begin this mission to find Taylor, I go to the bathroom and do my business. After washing my hands, I enter back into my room and put on my glasses so I can see better and because I know Taylor likes them. She tried to hide it, but the way her eyes were wide and her cheeks had faint evidence of a blush wasn't ignorable. She's so fucking adorable I don't know how she does it.
Itching my side, I walk into the hallway and hear a noise downstairs. I trudge down the steps still half asleep and still exhausted. I need to go back to bed but I don't want to go without my baby girl. A frustrated grunt sound from the kitchen and I head that way. Taylor is reaching for what looks like a box of pop tarts on the top shelf of the snack cabinet.
She runs her hands through her beautiful long wavy hair and her shoulders slouched. My clothes are so baggy on her that she's practically swimming in them, and I fucking love it. Lately, Taylor has been driving me insane. She's not even trying to and that's what makes it even better. I don't even know what she did to make me realize how much I really like her, it just suddenly happened. All I know now is that I refuse to be away from her for a long period of time.
I shake my head when she tries to jump to reach the box, and say, "What are you doing?"
She flinches out of fear but relaxes when she meets my gaze. She still looks sleepy with her half-lidded eyes, and all I want to do is grab her face and kiss her until I'm out of breath. "Trying to get some pop tarts," she answers.
I raise an eyebrow. "Do you usually wake up at seven thirty at other people's houses just so you can steal their food?"
She rolls her eyes at me and asks, "Can you just get them for me? I'm short and tired and hungry and it's not working out too well."
I smirk and walk towards her with no intention of helping her. If she's tired, she can wait to get her damn food. I grab her by the hips and swing her over onto my shoulder. She squeals but I shush her, claiming, "People are still sleeping."
