Chapter 41.
Taylor's P. o. v.
Just as I finish typing up my essay for my English class, my phone goes off. When I pick it up to look at the screen, it says Brownie would like to facetime...
I give myself a once over in the camera. The shower from earlier left my hair tamed and my face is slightly pale but it doesn't matter, he's gonna get what he gets.
I tap accept, and the screen changes to Zach, smiling at me. He seems to be in a different room than his hotel room, sat at a desk of sorts facetiming me through his laptop. His smile is blinding, and it's been only a day and a half of not seeing him, but my chest caves.
"Hi baby girl." He says simply, dimples on full display.
I back my phone away from me so that he sees more than just my forehead and eyes. My smile widens with his, and his eyes look lighter, bluer if possible.
"Hey, where are you?"
He grabs his laptop, and adjusts it so that it pans around the room. "In this little study room I guess? This hotel is pretty cool. My parents are in the room upstairs and I wanted to be alone to talk to you," he finished, setting the laptop back onto the desk. "I'm surprised you're even awake," he confesses.
I roll my eyes. "It's only 11:50."
He laughs at my dispense. "Yeah, that's late for you! Are you too excited for Santa?"
Christmas is less than ten minutes away I notice. "No actually, I was working on the English essay that's due when we get back to school."
His smile drops. "Oh shit, really? I don't even have my notes with me."
"Yes. Maybe if you weren't getting drunk at Ricky's you would've remembered to pack that," I dig.
He's frowning now, and I regret making that comment, I want his smile back. "Can we just forget that night happened?"
'You don't believe that I love you?'
"You haven't even told me everything though." pausing, I take a deep breath seeing as his eyebrows are furrowed. "We can talk about it later though." I offer, and his frown smooths out.
"Good," he says. There's a pause, and he seems to be thinking. "The thought of that essay is fucking me up. Can you do something for me?"
I scoff. "I am not writing it for you."
He laughs again, and I almost sigh of relief seeing his smile again. Fuck, I miss him.
"No, can you go to my room and send me pictures of my notes?"
My eyes glance back to the time. "There's five minutes to midnight! Are you crazy?"
He pouts, and I want to kiss him. I ignore the deep seeded discontent in my chest, as I try to push the feeling of kissing him to the back of my head. He licks his lips, saying "It'll be quick, please baby?" He's poking at my weak points.
"Zach," I groan.
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?" He's now closer to the camera, eyes moving quickly. My eyebrows furrows when he says, "Tie your hair up."
