Chapter 22 - Robbed

I slip out of his grip before he could kiss me. He groans in annoyance and I giggle. I switch on the radio just as one of my favourite songs comes on.
"I love this song," I say swaying slightly. Elijah drags me over to the sofa and sits me down before leaving the room. He quickly returns with a huge smirk on his lips.
"But darling, just kiss me slow. Your heart is all I own and in your eyes, you're holding mine" Ed Sheeran sings over the radio. I laugh when Elijah starts lip-syncing along to the song into a hairbrush. My hairbrush. Giving me a performance of hilarious dance moves and amazing lip syncing skills.
"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song." He lip syncs
"darling, you look perfect tonight," He says winking at me making me laugh harder. By the time the second chorus start's I stand up on the sofa and start singing it aloud. Elijah stops and stares at me wide-eyed
"I didn't know you could sing," He says. I smirk and shrug my shoulders as I continue to sing.
"I have faith in what I see" I sing as I pull Elijah onto the sofa with me.
"Now I know I have met an angel in person," Elijah says along with the lyrics however, he whispered them in my ear as he held me close. "and you look perfect and I don't deserve this. you look perfect tonight" he whispers the last lines of the song and then kisses me on my lips. I held my breath, my heart melting at how much I loved him. Elijah sits down on the sofa and pulls me into his lap.
"best first date I've ever had," I say smiling into his chest. To finish off the night we cuddled on the sofa watching a film.

"Jade your phones ringing" I hear Elijah say shaking me slightly as I had fallen asleep. I groan and sit up as Elijah hands me my phone
"what is it with people ringing me when I'm trying to sleep" I groan
"Hello?" I answer
"Jade you need to head down to the factory." Sarah says cutting to the chase
"why?" I ask
"I don't know. I just got a call saying there was an emergency down the factory" Sarah says
"meet me there in 15 minutes" I say
"ok" She says and I hang up.
"everything ok?" Elijah asks
"I don't know I need to get down to the factory," I tell him
"you have a factory?" He asks surprised
"I have lots" I smile. I head to Elijah's room to grab my bag. I had a collection of my clothes piling up in Elijah's room so I simply pull out a pair of black pleated trousers and put them on. I leave Elijah's shirt on and wear the heels I wore on our date.
"Are you come bodyguard?" I ask him batting my eyelashes as I head towards the door. He laughs and nods his head
"Let me just grab a jacket," he says heading into his bedroom. I knew he just wanted to go strap his weapons on. He tried to hide them from me but it's not hard to tell, not to me anyway. Once he was ready we leave.
"Have you got the keys?" Elijah asks patting his pockets
"Yeah," I say swinging them around my finger
"But I grab them?" He says looking at me confused "did you pickpocket me?" He asks placing his hands on his hips
"Maybe" I shrug smirking as I climb into the driver's seat.
"You can drive?" He says sarcastically
"Shut up," I say pulling out the parking spot.
"This is your factory?" Elijah looks up wide-eyed. I giggle and nod as I park the car.
"There you are," Sarah says approaching us.
"What's the problem then?" I ask as we head towards the door. However, my question was answered when I saw the broken lock. "Shit" I head inside and head to the quality check room.
"Sarah they took they fucking plans," I say getting frustrated.
"They?" Elijah says
"Mr Fredrick Singer" I grumble
"The fashion designer?" Elijah says
"Yes the fashion designer," I say
"I wear his suits," Elijah says he looked guilty
"He's a good fashion designer. I would love him if he didn't steal from me" I say
"Jade you can relax," Sarah says
"Relax? Sarah, I swear to god.." I start shouting but Elijah places his hands on my shoulders and I relax a little.
"Jade since the last time he stole from you, we have been locking the files away and keeping fake ones out on show" Sarah smirks and I let out a sigh of relief.
"So what files did he try to steal?" Elijah asks
"We are hosting a fashion show, For our Winter collection. Our fashion shows are more popular then Fredrick's so he tried to steal the plans for it" I explain
"Last year he stole the summer plans. It was going to be such a good show. Fredrick stole the files and we had to come up with a new idea" Sarah tells him
"Let me guess his show was better than yours that year?" Elijah says
"No. His just got better. Ours is still the best" I tell him
"Here are the originals," Sarah says handing me the files as I sit down.
"So what does he have?" Elijah asks
"I left him the plan for my 5-year-old niece's party" Sarah smirks.
"Sarah, what the hell is this?" I say
"What?" She asks confused
"Why is it purple based?" I say
"You asked for purple," she says
"Then I changed my mind to blue. It fits better with the theme. Also, I took these shoes out. They are too high for the models to walk in and where is the list of models I asked for" I tell her
"Ok shoes changed and I was never given a list," she says
"Well these models will do but they are all skinny. I have two size 16 dresses. An outfit to fit a size 10 and another for a size 18. Hire the models of those sizes and it needs to be done yesterday." I say slamming the file shut.
"Yes ok," she says taking the file and leaving the room. I sigh and lean back.
"Can we go? It's late and you look tired" Elijah says and I nod. Exhaustion suddenly took over.
