Travelling with Lord Sesshomaru (Part 2)

"Where are we going?"asked Taskeshi curiously waiting for an answer, the village was long behind them and Taskeshi didn't want to tell the Lord and his advisor that he was starving since they departed his former home. "We're returning to the palace"one of the guard repiled Taskeshi noddded not really satisfied with the answer, as they passed a glittering river Taskeshi thought it would be the best time to ask "Hey, can I catch some- he was cut off when a low growl came from the lord. The second guard shot him a warning look 'Dammit! By the time we get to the palce I'll be dead already!

Sesshomaru was deep in thought. The sound of the Inuyasha's steady heartbeat echoed in his ears, he wondered for second if maybe he should wake up the sleeping hanyou but then decided not too.Behind him he could hear the village boy grumbling about him starving to death. Children these days, they are quite annoying and troublesome. He was already dealing with one that was still sleeping in his mokomoko. If the village boy fell behind, it was his fault.

He could hear Inuyasha's soft breathing. The hanyou was finally waking up.

Inuyasha could hear the birds chirping happily around him, unfamiliar voices were talking . 'Where I am?' Inuyasha thought, he felt something fluffy on his cheeks slowly opening his eyes, he could feel the warm sunlight on his face. Someone was carrying him but who? "I see your awake, little brother". Inuyasha amber eyes widen. Yes. That voice, it belonged to.... Inuyasha was thinking very hard, trying to remember his saviour name "Sess...Sessho...." "Sesshomaru" the deep voice corrected him. Looking up at Sesshomaru, Inuyasha tipped his head to the side slightly "Did you say you were my brother?"the little hanyou asked

Sesshomaru didn't response at first. But after a few minutes the demon lord nodded "Yes. I am your elder brother". Hearing the strange voices again, Inuyasha had to pat the white fur down on Sesshomaru's mokomoko to get a better view from behind. Inuyasha saw two guards walking solemnly along with another demon, oh there was a boy too. Narrowing his eyes, he recognised the skinny boy immediately, Taskeshi.

"Sesshomaru?"

"Yes?"

"Why is Taskeshi here?"

Sesshomaru frowned for moment.

"He going to work at the palace as a servant"

Sesshomaru didn't miss the flash of fear in Inuyasha's golden eyes.

"Don't worry little brother, if he tries to harm you in anyway he will be severely punished" Sesshomaru threatened

Inuyasha slowly nodded."Umm... I think I can walk now..." the boy stammered, squirming to get out of Sesshomaru's mokomoko tight grip. Sesshomaru let out a soft chuckle "Very well then" Sesshomaru gently place the hanyou on his two feet, suddenly a low hungry growl came from Inuyasha's stomach. The little hanyou blushed with embarrassment watching Sesshomaru kneed down handing him a familiar object "Remember this?" Inuyasha nodded eagerly "Honeycomb!" The boy exclaimed happily licking it with delight.

Meanwhile..

"I have never seen our lord look so calm and soft" Kaito whispered to Hayate who too was shocked by his lord's actions."What are you whispering about Kaito?" a cold demanding voice rang out. The three demons spun around to face their lord "Nothing milord"Kaito answered quickly Sesshomaru raised a brow, the demon lord felt a soft tug on his kimono sleeve, looking down he was met with concerned golden eyes "I'm worried about Taskeshi, do you have another honeycomb to spare?" the little hanyou asked.Sesshomaru made an undisguised disgust face at mention of that troublesome boy "Hayate, find me an apple and bring it to me""the demon lord ordered coldly Hayate nodded before dashing into the forest.

Few hours later...

"Here's the apple you asked for, milord" Hayate returned covered in leaves and mud which Sesshomaru wasn't at all impress and ordered his advisor to bath straight away.

As night came...

The stars above in dark night sky twinkled like diamonds the moon shone down like stardust, "I was hoping to get back to the place tonight" Sesshomaru said sighing, listening to the annoying sound of Taskeshi's crunching apple.

"I've never been this faraway from the vilkage before " Inuyasha admitted snuggling deeper into Sesshomaru's chest, the mokomoko wrapped around him protectively. The demon lord smiled faintly , stroking those cute petit dog-ears "Goodnight little brother"he whispered.
