Fever strikes

Hi guys! I just wanted to say... Thank you so much for getting this story to 1k! Thank you for voting and commenting! I'm planning to write maybe 30+ chapters but you never know.. I'll try to make my chapters more longer. ON WITH THE STORY!

"Ah! What a beautiful day it is today" sighed Kaito, 3 days have now passed and everyone was now exhausted , their feet were so sore and bruised, beside Lord Sesshomaru and that energetic hanyou who never seem to leave the demon lord's side. This made Katio very puzzled about this peculiar relationship between Lord Sesshomaru and this child, what was so special about this child?, "Katio?" a indifferent voice snapped the guard out of his deep wonders "Yes Milord?" Katio answered, "Make sure Inuyasha doesn't stray too far" Lord Sesshomaru ordered before disappearing into the evergreen trees Katio felt someone nudged him "I rather babysit that hanyou than this whining village boy" Ryu complained Katio glared at Hayate who was lazily leaning against a tree "And, what job did Lord Sesshomaru give you?" Katio aksed. Hayate looked up and smiled. "He actually didnt give me any jobs to do" Hayare repiled pretending to be disappointed "Actually, he wanted you to gather some firewoods for tonight" a voice answered the three inudemons.

The three demons turned around to see the hanyou child looking at them. "How do I know you didn't make that up?" Hayate asked coolly, the hanyou frowned before kicking a rock with his small bare foot which hit Hayate in the forehead. "You better obey Lord Sesshomaru's orders before he decided to rip that head of yours" the child answered with the same cold tone exactly like the Lord himself. Hayate swallowed. "You better start gathering some woods now" Katio sneered, Hayate shot a glare at the hanyou before rushing off into the woods.

"So, whats your name, young one?" Katio questioned kneeing down beside the boy who was sitting on a log . "My name is Inuyasha"came the answer.

"And how old are you?"

"Umm......I don't know"

The sound of a twig cracked in the shadows.

Inuyasha ears twitched,his nose moving up and down as he sniffedthe air, before Kaito could stop the child, Inuyasha unexpectedly jumping into the shadows.

"WAIT! INUYASHA!" Katio cried, instantly jumping up from his position as he watched with dismay "Well your sooooo dead" a voice said from the behind, Katio snarled at the village boy "Shut up you brat!".

A few hours later......

Katio was pacing back and forth, his head was hanging with dread and concern and he didn't say anything until Lord Sesshomaru showed up. The Lord narrowed his golden eyes at the scene in front of him, Hayate,the village boy, Ryu, Katio, but no sign of Inuyash "KATIO! He roared with fury, Katio fell to his knees "Please forgive me! I'll keep looking for Inuyasha un-" Katio's plead was cut off when a loud, excited voice cried "SESSHOMARU!" a flash of red and white came rushing pass Katio's eyes, Kaito gasped with relief as Inuyasha jumped into Sesshomaru's awating arms. "Inuyasha, where did you wander off to?" Sesshomaru questioned calmly, Inuyasha's left ear twitched. "Sesshomaru...are you mad at me?" the little hanyou asked, Sesshomaru didnt miss the hint of fear in Inuyasha's voice "No, but wandering off without telling someone is very dangerous for a litte hanyou like you" Sesshomaru answered. Inuyasha buried his head in Sesshomaru's soft fur "Inuyasha is very sorry" the boy whispered Sesshomaru smiled faintly, placing his pale, clawed hand on the back of the child's head "No need to say sorry" the Lord whispered.

After a few seconds, Inuyasha went back to his cheerful self. "Look at this!" Inuyasha said proudly, disappearing into the bushes before appearing with a rabbit in his hands "Very good" Sesshomaru praised lightly. Soon, everyone had a full stomach.

Next morning, Inuyasha was happily walking beside Sesshomaru clutching his tail. When suddenly without warning the little hanyou fell to ground like a stone. "Inuyasha?" Sesshomaru's voice had a hint of concern, Ryu kneed down, "He's boiling hot!"the guard gasped. Sesshomaru shoved the guard aside before quickly picking up Inuyasha in a bridal way, wrapping him in his momoko.

"What is the meaning of this, Katio?" Sesshomaru demanded now walking for faster then usual "I don't know, milord".
