The dream

The dream:

Sesshomaru wandered down the dark path. Where was he? How did he get here? The smell that drifted towards him was unfamiliar and it made him shiver slightly, it reminded him of, blood and death. Suddenly up ahead throught the thick layer of darkness was, a tiny speck of light Sesshomaru didn't hesitate, walking straight towards it. 

"Sesshomaru" a deep voice suddenly spoke, Sesshomaru came a sudden halt "Who's there?" the daiyokai growled, flexing his sharp talons back and forth, his threat was answered by a soft chuckle from  the darkness. "How is your reletionship going with the hanyou?" the voice asked Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes "How do you know his name?"A growl erupted from the daiyokai's throat "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM!!?" the voice let out a sigh  of exasperation "He's sleeping, he's safe" Sesshomaru relaxed but he was still wary about this voice. The yokai lord opened his mouth ready to speak but the voice quickly interupted ,"I have come to warn you, there are going to be rapid changes that will change your life forever," Sesshomaru frowned "How will it change my life?" he inquiryed. Suddenly, the darkness vanished,the voice was gone, the daiyokai found himself in a unfamiliar room. Looking around in confused, Sesshomaru sniffed the air, so far he couldn't scent anything..... a  blood-curdling scream  made the yokai lord spin around, his eyes widen with utter horror, he gasped, "It can't be...." Sesshomaru whispered, his whole body shook. 

The figure lying on the floor, was Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha!" the yokai lord rushed to the hanyou's side, blood was pouring out of his side and scratches could be seen on his face. When he tried to touch his wounded mate, his hand went through "It must be a apparition"Sesshomaru whispered, he breathed out a sigh when..... "UGH!" the daiyokai screamed out in pain, he fell to the floor gripping his wounded arm, the pain was excruciating he licked his dry lips quickly closing his eyes then opening them, afraid of the dark.

For a second, the daiyokai through he saw someone standing in the doorway, a spear drenched in blood.....

Sesshomaru woke up in sweat, panting. Was that a dream or a nightmare? Who was that stranger in the doorway? Remembering his mate's demise, the daiyokai looked down, fearing what he might find...golden eyes stared back at him. "Sesshomaru....." Inuyasha whispered, his body was shaking in fear and his eyes were trembling "Did you have the same....dream?" Sesshomaru asked quietly Inuyasha nodded, before flinging his arms around Sesshomaru's neck, tears rushing down his face Sesshomaru leaned to lick one of the  escaping tears "Hush my mate" Sesshomaru whispered into the hanyou's ear, Inuyasha continued to sob "What does it mean!?" he cried Sesshomaru placed a kiss on Inuyasha's cheek "I don't know" he admitted Inuyasha shook his head "I saw....you....." Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes "you...got...shot...in the arm...." Sesshoamru's eyes widen "But...you.....I saw...you lying....on the floor" Inuyasha looked at him in confusion "I was?" "Do you think the dream was ...warning us about..something?" Sesshomaru pulled his mate into his chest.

"Whatever happens, I will be by your side I promise"

"Promise?"

"This Sesshomaru never breaks a promise".

The two mates continued to hug each other, not knowing that in a matter of hours, one of them was going to dead...
