"Ouch! Stoping pulling me!" Inuyasha complained, as Sesshomaru dragged the hanyou down the hall. "I'm so tired. I want to sleep,," Inuyasha said sleepily as he slowly closed his eyes. A few seconds later, he stumbled into a wall. This definitely frightened the hanyou enough and his eyes soon flung open. "Stubborn!" Sesshomaru said, before continuing to pull Inuyasha. The pair finally arrived at a huge door which was sealed with a silver lock. "You dragged me all the way here to see a door?" Inuyasha said, sounding disappointed.He turned away to leave but was suddenly pulled into a crushing embrace. "You will not leave unless you have my permission," Sesshomaru growled. Oblivious to Inuyasha, Sesshomaru had unlocked the door and was carrying the hanyou into the room. Inuyasha's eyes widen; the room was an enormous library! Books on the left... Books on the right... There were so many books! Sesshomaru smiled as he watched his little brother explore the room. There had always been a childish part of Inuyasha that he had always found amusing and cute. "Inuyasha!" Sesshomaru's deep voice made the hanyou look at him. "I wanted to give you something..that I hope you enjoy and cherish " Sesshomaru said as he slowly took a strange-looking book out of the shelves, "This book is our father's journal" Sesshomaru finally said making Inuyasha gasp quietly "You mean...." "Yes, Inutashio's journal when he was a young child like you and me" came the reply.

Inuyasha was bubbling with excitement and not to mention a bit nervous, he was finally going to read their father's journal and when Sesshomaru held the book out for Inuyasha to take, he eagerly reached out but only to stop and pull back. Sesshomaru raised a brow "Take the book Inuyasha" the daiyokai said but Inuyasha shook his head slowly stepping away "No thanks" Inuyasha quietly answered Sesshomaru was utterly confused and slightly hurt, why was he refusing the book now? It was quite obvious that he wanted to read it "Why won't you take the book? I'm offering it to you it's my gift " Sesshomaru said and for second he thought he saw fear and something else in those golden eyes "It's nothing"Inuyasha said timidly before walking towards the door but a tall figure was blocking the way "I want to go back bed" Inyasha growled trying to slip pass the daiyokai but his effects were futile as Sesshomatu kept pushing him back roughly "I demand for an answer Inuyasha" Sesshomaru growled as Inuyasha stumbled back before falling onto the couch "I don't need to give you an answer" Inuyasha replied looking down at the floor to try and avoid those intense golden eyes.

Watching closely at Inyasha, he could see the hanyou was getting a uncomfortable and stressed, this was puzzling him looking back at the journal Sesshomaru frowned, it was only a book, it wasn't like he was going to have to read....

Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed. Read.

Did Inuyasha not know how to read? Why didn't he think of that before?

"Inuyasha, do you not know how to read?" Sesshomaru demanded, his question was answered when Inuyasha"s eyes held shocked and humiliation Inuyasha slightly nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?" Sesshomaru asked Inuyasha shrugged "I thought you would think less of me, I have always wanted to read...but.." Inuyasha trailed off, "Very well then. I shall teach you myself", Sesshoumaru declared suddenly.

The hanyou was shocked, "Wah! What! I know how to read!" He suddenly insisted.

Sesshomaru tilted his head to the side slightly resisting the urge to raise a brow at the hanyou's obvious lie.

"There is no need to lie to me Inuyasha. I will never think less of you" the daiyoukai soothed.

"Argh. I can read! I just-"
