Brothers in arms

The hanyou flew like the wind, his hair waving behind him as he leapt gracefully from the tree to tree, determine to reach the battlefield. "I can do it...I can do it" Inuyasha whispered to himself. It wasn't long before he smelt the scent of fresh blood.

Sesshomaru snarled with anger as Keki dodged hs blow. "Too slow," Keki sneered as he turned to attack the daiyokai. Sesshomaru was fast on his feet and gave a powerful punch to the Keki's chest. "Is that all you got?" Keki taunted and before Sesshomaru could move Keki gave the daiyokai a kick and punch which sent Sesshomaru falling to the ground. Sesshomaru looked up with hatred in his eyes as Keki smirked at him, his sword pointing at the daiyokai's neck. "Well, isn't this humiliating?" Keki said smiling evilly. "It seems I win the battle. Now, should I forgive you or should I just run you through with my sword?" Keki looked around at his guards letting them decide. A loud uproar came from them. "Kill him," one guard shouted, "beat him up until theres nothing left of him!'

"I got my answer." Keki finally said positioning the sword above Sesshomaru's head. "No last words?" Sesshomaru growled as he closed his eyes, an image of a white-haired figure came into his head, golden eyes staring at him with joy and love. "I have nothing to say." Then a loud shriek was heard...

Inuyasha was angry, very angry; he had every right to be mad. Standing infront of him to his vexation, a southern guard was trying to attack him with his lame moves. "I don't have time to fight a weakling like YOU!" Inuyasha snarled, easily sending the guard face first into the gound ."Now stay there!"Inuyasha spat, turning his attention to the guards. "Where the hell is that Keki guy? Tell me!" Inuyasha demanded, as the army of guards parted to let him through. "Your alive!" Katio exclaimed with shock. "I thought you were dead!" Ryu said with wide eyes. Inuyasha finally heard the voice he was searching for. "What is all this commotion?" Lord Keki demanded, his gaze stopping at Inuyasha. "It.....cant....be" Keki gasped, while Inuyasha was starting to get impatient. "Your....supposed...to....be....dead!" Keki said, looking quite horrified. Inuyasha scoffed. "I hate to tell you to this, but I'm pretty much alive!"Inuyasha repiled. "I'll deal with you after I kill your older brother!"Keki spat stalking back to the kneeling Sesshomaru. Inuasha growled "As if I'm going to stand here and watch you kill my brother!" Go to hell! Inuyasha snarled colliding into the southern lord "You 'll have to kill me first" the hanyou clawed the back of Keki's neck leaving an nasty scar "WHY YOU......!" Keki unsheathed his sword "I'm doing this world a favour by getting rid of tainted half-demons like you! DRAGON BLAST!" blue swirls started to form around the sword "You have no hope of surviving this attack" Keki said before he brought the sword down. Inuyasha watched coldly, he didn't care, Sesshomaru's life was much more important than his....he was going to take the blast head on if it was the only way to save Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru's POV

I could hear a familiar voice. It couldn't be....he was alive.... but how....my first instinct was to hug him and kiss him endlessly, I opened my eyes to see Inuyasha standing infront of me, I could hear him talking but I couldn't catch his words sudeenly I felt a strong demonic power and my eyes widen slightly as a blue blast came hurling towards my little brother,I waited for him to move or protect himself but instead he jsut stood there like a statute, watching as the blue blast came closer and closer....'What was he wating for!? FOOLISH HANYOU! WHAT WAS HE THINKING!? He would be shredded by the Dragron blast I rushed forwards praying that I would make it in time and before anyone could stop me I threw my whole body on top of his as we both fell down to the ground. "Wh-" Inuyasha was about to speak when I hungrily kissed him breathing in the sweet smell that I have missed "I've lost you once, I'm not going to lose you again you baka" Inuyasha eyes widen "But-" You know why? I hissed under my breath Inuyasha shook his head before burying his head into my bloodly kimono as the blast surrounded us "Becasue I love you" I whispered.

Inuyasha POV

I felt like crying. I hugged him tighter as I felt something wet tickle down my cheeks I couldnt remember the last time I cried, "I love you too" I whispered.

Finally the blast subsided, the two brothers slowly appeared to Keki's suprise "You survived?!" Keki's outbrust was cut off when a sword ran through his chest "I have heard enough from you" Sesshomaru growled pulling out the sword Keki's vision was going black, blood was now dripping, scarlet stains were appearing  and then with a painful cry the southern lord fell to the ground.

"Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha said quietly as Sesshomaru came out of his trace, his gaze shifted away from the dead lord to his little brother "Come" the daiyokai said walking away Inuyasha frowned "Where to?" he asked Sesshomaru turned, reaching out, he brought the hanyou into a tight,loving embrace.

"Home" the daiyokai whispered with affection Inuyasha smiled "Yeah"

The two brothers walked away arm in arm not giving the battlefield a second glance.
