Inyeong's POV
"Morning is approaching," I relax myself, picturing a scenario of a sunrise. Soon the sun will totally conquer the sky and things would be different. Back to the way it used to be before he came back.
"I wonder if.." quietly and meekly, I talk to myself. "If Jongwoon got himself out of this mess. Out of this engagement."
Out of the engagement, totally in Liya. Things are better that way.
Last night, his feet took him out of the room. It made me curious what he was doing so late at night therefore I tiptoed to the door then slightly opened the door for a peek. He was talking to himself, "Should I? Or should I not?" I recall him yell out, releasing his frustration, guess. He kept toying and glancing at his mobile phone. First moment he unlocked his phone, but a second later he decided to lock it. A conclusion crossed my thoughts: he is debating whether or not he should contact her. But I don't blame him. It is only natural for a boyfriend to worry for his girlfriend.
Aiish! Why in the world am I turning upset?! I try to shake the flashback off my thoughts. In the first place, I admitted to be the hindrance in their relationship. With me gone, they would live on better.
A sigh escapes my lungs..
I feel pathetic of myself; depression is spreading..
If Yumi was here to witness me like this, the first things she'd say are her "words of wisdom". Follows her lo~ng discussion of her weird, random conclusions. Heh, funny. I think I can hear her voice playing in my head right now.
Oh yeah, speaking of Red Head, where is he? He did not return to his bed last night; when I walked out of the room this dawn, he wasn't taking a nap on the sofa either. Did he wander off somewhere without notice again?
"Inyeong-ah!" the door bursts wide open, surprising me off my seat. Such early hour of the day, smiling Yumi is so full of energy. "Good morning~ Did you had breakfast already?"
Changing the subject, I ask, "Aren't you suppose to be at Incheon? Your scheduled return isn't until three 3 days from today."
"Take it easy on me. You're making it sound like I'm a busy artist," she lands a heavy palm on my back.
I decide to zipper my mouth; keeping the complains behind my throat.
My best friend lifts a plastic bag in front of my gaze. "Shall we have our meal? I'm starving. Aren't you?"
"Honestly, what brings you here?"
"Hmm," she hums, thinking for a reply. "Let's put it as: I felt someone needs me by their side. The feeling continuously bothered me since 1:39am today."
I strike her with a "is-that-all?" look printed on my expression. Yumi understands my message, therefore, she nods.
Her story isn't very convincing. My instincts tell me something else triggered her to come. It is still unknown to me what that could be, though. I can't stop feeling suspicious of her actions. Not to mention she's like a drunk head.
We continue to chow down our own food with a silent and awkward atmosphere.. Since when did we last ate awkwardly like this? I can't recall..
Boom!
My widen eyes snap a look at my friend's direction. She just slammed the dinning table with her bare palms! It she took me by great surprise.
An excited smile and sparkling eyes are staring at my confused-startled face. For some reason, thoughts which thrill her are flooding in her mind. Yumi's expression speaks without words explaining it for me.
