Inyeong's POV
"Bye!!" my friends and I bid each other goodbyes as we walk on our separate ways. Everyone is anticipating to arrive in their homes after a tiring day. Who wouldn't?
Before heading back to my apartment I walk my way to a nearby convenience store. I've been feeling that my throat is dry. Just a short trip to buy something cold to drink. "Pearl shakes?" the bottles of shakes sitting inside the cooler caught my attention. "It will do." For tomorrow's work I might want an energy drink so I grab the nearest one I can find.
"Ah~ I'm so tired," I eventually yawn. "I should head to bed early tonight."
As I was about to twist the door knob it twists on its own. The sudden twisting takes me by surprise and is an enough reason for me to retrieve my arm.
An elderly woman, still looking young, stands just across me. My mind consumes a minute to recognize who I am facing to, "Ummeonim!" Jongwoon's mother smile sweetly at the surprised me. "Welcome back dear."
"H-H-H-How did you m-manage to enter my little p-place ummeonim?" my words even show that I am nervous with the stutter.
A small chuckle comes from her. "Were you not informed? My son was given a duplicate key to your apartment. It was not too long ago when he handed over the key to us, saying that he would not need to access the place without its owner. He also thought it was rude to barge in without your permission. I am a bit sure he would be eating his words sooner or later."
Ahh~ That explains a lot of his magic tricks. So he had used the duplicate key before to enter my apartment without me knowing. The first time he did that was when we were scheduled to meet and agree for the rules. No more incidents like those followed after... I guess?
Standing outside my own place probably bothered Mrs. Kim. She quickly tells me to on in. I follow her request with no complain.
"We hope you're not busy tonight," the door shuts close. The both of us sit on the sofas to discuss a matter. The anxious look on her eyes does not suggests anything nice. "You see Jongwoon is suffering from flu at the moment. We only heard about his condition a few hours ago. I came rushing as soon as I was able to. As a mother I want my precious children to have the best. We want him to remain in bed until he fully recovers but his schedules would not allow it."
I think I know where this talk will be heading. This is not goods news for him and his girlfriend.
Mrs. Kim continues, "His manager and members won't be there, in their dorm, to watch over him."
As predicted.
"Will you be kind enough to look after him for us?"
I cannot say no to that sort of request.
The only think which concerns me is him. Will he accept my help or stubbornly refuse it?
The assistance I gave him last night dose not count and didn't need his permission. It was an emergency and I couldn't just sit by the sidelines, watching him suffer like that. Not the person I'm grateful to and the guy I love.
Will I consider this time too? Another but is...
"Ummeonim. I'm sorry to ask a type of question like this but will cooking be involve?" Frankly speaking, I am not a good cook. Omurice is the only dish I've learned for the passed years of my life.
Mrs. Kim hold out her hand then places them over mine. "I will teach you a few good soups."
GULP! Will I be okay?
