Yesung’s POV
“Inyeong-ah!” I tried to call out to her. “Inyeong-ah!” It’s hard for her to hear me in our situation. We’re running fast in the highway with both our helmets on. I can’t think of a safe way to catch her attention. Why do I need to catch her attention? It is because she is heading the wrong way. She’ll me make me arrive at my schedule later if she continues to drive this road.
Inyeong breaks abruptly, without notice, at a near parking space. It’s unintentional but I get to lean forward and wrap my arms around her because of the gravity pull. The engine soon shuts down.
“Hey pervert,” Inyeong called. Is she addressing to me? “How long do you plant to do what you are doing?”
“What?” I don’t get the idea.
The model lets out a scoff, “Yah! Do you know where you are hugging?”
I break from the hug as swift as my arms could. “Stupid,” I mentally scolded myself. “Why didn’t I notice it sooner?” My arms were right under her chest. No wonder Inyeong became upset with me again.
The brunette takes off her helmet ad fixes her brownish hair. She glances over her shoulder to look at me, “You know where we’re supposed to go?”
Thought she’d never ask. “You won’t be upset if I tell you, right?” Just to make sure I won’t be receiving a loud complain through my ears.
“Just tell me already. I still have my obligations to do back at the company. The faster I get you to your destination, the better. So where is it?”
“To your company.”
“What?” Yup, she’s about to complain. “Pardon?”
“We have a scheduled shoot at your company,” I further elaborated. “In other words, we might be working together again.” The last time we had a group shooting for her company’s magazine the atmosphere between us was serious and hesitant. I am not expecting anything better but rather wondering how this one will be different from last time. Things may either end well or worse for this second shoot.
I hear her sigh in defeat, “It’s not like my complaining can change things anyway.” Inyeong puts back her helmet and starts the engine. I, on the other hand, prepare myself for take-off and hold tightly on the seat.
Minutes pass by and the scooter has not moved an inch. Is something wrong?
“You know, I’m trying not to make you think of sill ideas but I am also clueless on how to say it,” she confessed. “My conscience will hunt me if you fall off, receive multiple injuries then suffer from many difficulties. I suggest it will be for the best if you can hold onto to me for the time being.”
A small beam of happiness creep in my lips.
“It’s just a suggestion though. Your choice if you’ll take it or decline.”
“Suggestion accepted.” I wrap my arms around her waist; and this time I made sure I only hold her waist. My arms are until here.
My fiancé takes a gentle U-turn before speeding off to her company.
The whole ride is fill with silence. I cannot see her expression because the helmet she is wearing allows her eyes to be seen while the rest of her face is completely protected. Many things could be flooding in her mind while she drives, cautiously. But, as for me, all I am doing is enjoying the moments of hugging her. It’s not every day I am given the privilege to do this. Sorry Inyeong, but your suggestion is giving me silly ideas.
The distance seems to have gotten shorter; we arrive in front of her company sooner than I expected. “Aww. No more hugs,” I whined silently in my thoughts. She drives in the provided parking area just under the building, where the usual ones are. I let go and jump off the scooter.
