Day 1.2: Today's Noon

Narrator's POV

It's noon and lunch break is drawing near with only a few ticks away from the glorious moment. Many of the working employees of the fashion company are quietly waiting for the clock hand to give the signal. Hwang Inyeong is no exception.

"HWANG INYEONG!" rather than the echoing sound of the bell, a loud voice called for the model's attention. The staff member is standing by the entrance of the photo shoot room. It was literally ear breaking. "THE BOSS WANTS TO MEET YOU AT HIS OFFICE, RIGHT THIS INSTANCE!"

She heaves a sigh, "I was anticipating to start eating as soon as I could." But orders are orders; not to mention it's from everyone's beloved CEO. The phenomenon does not occur every day so it must be something urgent. The brunette heads to office with no more rants in mind.

Respecting the CEO's privacy and as a polite mannerism, the summoned model knocks on the huge wooden door. She pushes it open after receiving the permission to enter Mr. Kim's office.

The dignified CEO is sitting on his leather swivel chair with his filled desk in front. Papers and folders are on both sides and a laptop is present on the center. Office furniture with office-related supplies and documents are occupying the room. There are few big picture frames of the Kim family hanging on the walls. Documents of the achievements of his daughters and spouse are individually framed and are on display on a corner near his desk. A couple of trophies standing on the shelves of the said corner are found too. It's the model's first time having access to his office. She cannot stop but show her amusement on the place.

"Good noon my dear Inyeong. Take a seat here my dear," Mr. Kim gestures for the chair on the other side of his desk. The CEO is famously known to be close to his employees, especially to the ladies. It is because he has daughters of his own. The men look at him as a reliable man, if not a father. It is not a wonder for Inyeong to hear the CEO's gentle speech. They too are pretty close. "I hope I am not disrupting your activity my dear. Were you busy?" he asked just like a father.

"Oh no, Mr. Kim I wasn't busy at all." The brunette flashes a gentle smile at him.

He expresses his relief to hear the news because he was a bit worried whether or not his summoned model was occupied with an activity. "Alright then, I'll get straight to the point." He intertwines his fingers together then lands them on top of his laptop, shifting the atmosphere into a serious one. "I have business partners in Japan. They are good pals of mine back in the days of our school years. Their only child, Yuko Yamamoto, is to be wed within less than a month to her long-term fiancé. Does the name Nam Jinho ring a bell to you?"

The mentioned name of the soon-to-be groom echoes on the mind of Inyeong. It takes her a matter of seconds to recall the identity of Jinho, "Ah! Yes sir. I have a good friend of mine who is studying and working as a doctor at an overseas company sir."

The CEO nods in delight to hear the enthusiastic response. "He is Yuko's fiancé." The day before today, Mr. Kim received an e-mail directly from Mrs. Yamamoto, Yuko's mother. It is an invitation to her daughter's wedding, which is said to be held on a cruise yacht, and a request. According to her letter Jinho wants to borrow Inyeong's assistance with the wedding preparations. It did not state why on Earth does the groom wants someone from overseas to help. "During the date of the wedding I have plans with my family so I am afraid none of my family can attend. I was wondering if you are willing to accept the favor Mrs. Yamamoto and Mr. Nam is asking of you and if you can be the representative of our whole company."

While she is in Japan, if ever she accepts to take on the offer, there will perks waiting for her. The model gets the opportunity to stay in a nice hotel with dine-in breakfast every day. The company will be providing her pocket money for her own use, may it be personal or not.
