Narrator’s POV

Another approaching evening behind the current sunset. Yesung’s schedules for the day are, thankfully, over pretty early. Only 2 more days before the date of Inyeong’s charity work performance. Will this day finish fine or the other way around? None can tell.

He sits on the dining table of their dorm while plotting a new set of surprise. He recalls missing the day before and wants to make up for it tonight. Before she reaches the door, he thought. Everything should be in their rightful places. Tonight’s menu will consist of a different kind of bibimbap, his own version of kimbap, and a number of side dishes. Another thing the idol plans to do is convince his lady to practice her performance with him around. It’s not too long before her stage performance and no man in love would want to see his fiancé embarrassed in front of a crowd. The only problem is if she would do so. Inyeong refuses to sing in front of him in many occasions; although he faintly remembers her doing it for him when he was sick. But he cannot recall what it was. “Hmmm,” he hums. “Should I help her fall asleep again this time?”

“Help who sleep?” the group’s leader heard his member’s mumbling and questioned him about it. Leeteuk closes the entrance door behind him.

“H-Hyung..!” Yesung said, stuttering.

“What? You sound like you’ve just seen a ghost,” Leeteuk remarked.

“H-How long have you been there?”

“Long enough to hear your words,” he stated the obvious. “And now I am asking you about it.” He takes the seat across the vocalist’s spot. The leader connects gazes with his anxious member.

Before answering the question, Yesung asks himself questions. Should he say it? Will their leader understand his circumstances? After all the things he has done for their engagement issues, he decides to trust his hyung again. There is no one in the area besides the both of them too; his secret should be safe. He starts a narrative explanation to Leeteuk about his current situation with regards to his feelings. “Hyung, am I doing the right thing?” he seeks for advice.

“If you’re chasing your happiness then rest assure because you are doing the right thing.” A beam immediately made its appearance on the delighted vocalist. He is happy to hear his leader supporting his happiness. His feelings of gratitude for his leader skyrockets.

The wall clock continues to tick and catches the engaged idol’s attention. “Hyung, I’ll be get going,” he excused himself. “I have some marketing to do.”

“Good luck lover boy!” the last words he heard from Leeteuk before he takes his exit out of their dorm.

Everything he needs for tonight’s menu is inside the black plastic bags he carries. Maybe it’s due to its large size and the fact that he is carrying not only 1 but 2 that he is gaining a bit of attention from the people present in the main lobby. “I should use an alternative route next time,” he promises to himself. People are shooting curious and weird glances at his direction. Is it unusual for many to see a guy from grocery? All he wants now is to escape the pairs of eyes staring at him by hiding inside the elevator.

Just a step in his desired hiding place makes him feel relief. He pushes the close button and then followed by the number of the floor he plans to be on. The elevator then ascends a few seconds later.

A moment soon the machine stops on the 2nd floor. Did he press the wrong button? The button for the 6th floor is glowing so he click the right one. “Does someone want to use this too?”

The elevator door opens and reveals a woman standing on the other side. “Y-Yesung-ah,” Liya mumbled under her breath.

“L-Liya…” Awkward~ the thought of seeing his “girlfriend” on the way never came to his mind. Of course, his brain is echoing one name and it’s surely isn’t Liya’s.
