Cass was told her solitude wasn't healthy, they didn't understand.
She understood the world and how it was going to screw her over and she just wanted to minimize the damage on her fragile soul. But instead her therapist said she just needed a confidant since apparently Cass didn't consider her one.
She was given a shabby one pound twenty five note pad to write to a fictional girl called Elliot who would soon affect her life more than any name on a paper would have been predicted to.
