Chapter 5: The day out

I was put unwillingly into the back of a van with ropes tied around me......... they already knew me so well I was touched... that's when I realized something.

"WHERE ARE MY HEADPHONES!" I startled everyone as I began to move insanely. those headphones are precious to me and I go NOWHERE without them.

"T-they're right h-here..." I kinda felt bad as Melody stuttered giving me my headphones..... well putting them around my neck since I can't do it myself..... you know..... the ropes.....

"Sorry it's just I can't remember not having these headphones and they're important to me....." I looked out the window when I realized I got pulled into a warm hug by none other than Neon. Not dissing her I swear I love her shes amazing.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I stared at her face the best I could manage.

"Have you never been hugged before or something?" she looked at me like I was insane..

"Not very many........ I don't have a family and keep people away from me......." Everyone got silent. Neon didn't pull away from the hug though and I was glad. Hugs are nice... Then the car stopped and Neon pulled away. We all got out and we were at............ The mall.......... great......

I sighed and mumbled under my breath as it took all three of them to pull me out of the car.

"Mara! Come on I wanna show you off!" I just stared at Neon.... She's kidding right? When they started pulling me in the mall I knew they unfortunately weren't. They untied me, but I didn't run away I was to embarrassed by all the guys staring at me to move. I just kept my pink face down towards the floor with my hair covering my face.

"Um. Mara?" I heard Kurapika's soothing voice whisper in my ear and I honestly didn't even want him to see me like this.

"Yeah......"

"Look." He whispered again and my ear tickled from his breath. I looked up and saw a freaking runway just right there in the middle of the mall. WHAT THE HECK!!!!

"Oh no. no no no NONONONONONONONO!!! I AM NOT DOING THAT!" I was backing away but they got me before I could move far enough. "PLEASE! IM TOO YOUNG FOR THIS KIND OF TORCHER!" They all just looked at me funny....... Kurapika was the only one that spoke as he held a firm grip on my wrist.

"How old are you?" he sounded like he was saying I was dumb.....

"15!!" I was still squirming and looked back to see them all with the look that says are-you-freaking-kidding-me-right-now!!!! "what?" I stopped wiggling and looked at them confused. They all looked at eachother still with the look then nodded their heads.

Neon walked up to me grabbed my wrist as Kurapika and Melody let got. She then dragged me, not kidding DRAGGED me, to the runway and signed me up while the while time I had the little water anime about to cry eyes. They all still looked at me with those looks. Then I realized something...... being with these people is actually really fun. Even if I'm being forced against my will. I stopped with all the struggling and decided to just go ahead and enjoy this.

Neon had then pulled me from store to store to buy ALOT of clothes I wasn't even going to wear, and makeup, then pulled me back to my little station at the fashion show thingy which was gonna start in 30 min.

She changed my outfit into a green tank top with a denim vest embedded with golden studs down the center. I also wore a green skirt that was two inches above my knees, black leggings, green cons, and black fingerless gloves. She had my hair in a side ponytail which she tied with a green ribbon and put on green eyeshadow, light pink blush, black mascara, black eyeliner, and bright pink lipstick.

I was actually getting use too her dressing me up and this outfit was closer to my tomboy personality, but I have to admit that even I act like a girl sometimes. Not as much as acting like a boy, but I still have my moments.

The music started and all the contestants who looked like full on girly girls with their pink dresses, pink high heels, pink makeup, pink everything on! they all gave me dirty looks and I just smirked back at them saying "Ya. A tomboy is in this contest and gonna beat all of you." It felt so good when they all would turn away with the little confidence they had left. I was gonna enjoy this......... til I saw Kurapika talking to HIM.............
