Chapter 22

I woke up the next day looking at my clock. It read 12:35. I rubbed my eyes and realized I had water or something on my face. I stood up and looked in the mirror seeing tear streaks running down my face and my eyes were red and puffy. I must've cried when I fell asleep...

I snuck into the bathroom and washed my face then stepped out and saw a note on the counter.

Hey Mara! We went to see a movie and agreed you probably needed the sleep.

Gon, Killua, Bisky, Leorio, and Palm

I sighed and decided to have a lazy day and just laid on the couch looking at random channels.

I then heard a loud SLAP hit the window behind the tv making me jump. I walked cautiously over to the window and face palmed when I saw what it was. It was my dad and he got slammed to the window and was on the ledge. I opened the window and let him scramble in.

"Why did you just slam into the window?" I asked looking at him.

"Lets just say that I'm famous among people but I did want to talk to you."

"About what?"

"There's someone who you should not take lightly... All I know for now is its a girl and she has her eye on you."

My eyes widened when I remembered the warning Fire had given me. Who is she?!

"Mara!" I could heard Gons voice outside the door. My dad ran to the window and jumped. I sighed and closed it shut. "Mara!" he yelled again when he came in. "We get to go on a mission!"

"Cool!"

"Can you come with us?!" He asked hopeful.

"I um... have something to do... sorry.."

"Aw.... I wanted to see how you fight..." he whined disappointed. I laughed ruffling his hair and helped him and Killua get ready to leave. The next day I brought them to the airport and saw them off.

I was walking home through the park when a force hit me in my side and sent me flying. I pounded into the ground and sat up to see what it was. All I saw was a person in a gas mask and black ninja suit type thing. I could tell it was a girl to. People in the park started fleeing as I stood up and released Air. My hair tips turned grey along with my eyes. A bright grey light appeared around my body changing my outfit to her long flowing dress.

"What's going on?" Air asked me as I sat in her cell.

"I don't know just attack the girl in black." I responded.

Air smirked and cracked her knuckles. "No problem." She then push the wind behind her shooting her towards the girl and did a kick in her stomach. The girl just moved her arm to block it and pushed her off. "That was luck for you!" Air yelled and tried a different attack, but got blocked again.

This continued til the girl pulled out a knife and started attacking. (A.N. if u've seen Captain America Winter Soldier then just picture the one scene where Bucky was using a knife on the Captain.(their first fight)

Luckily Air didn't get scratched at all. After a little bit of that Air just did a couple backhand springs to get away from the girl and landed. They both stood for a second then ran back at each other.

The fight ended when Air used her element to capture the girl, but the girl was able to escape her grasp since Air had used alot of energy and disappeared. I locked her cells locks and told her to rest for a little while.

I was panting though, because what ever they do while released doesn't affect them it affects me. I stumbled to the apartment and packed my stuff and they stuff Gon and Killua left since they didn't need it. I then put black contacts on with a light blue wig and black hipster glasses. I slipped a hoodie on with some baggy jeans while wearing my normal outfit and kept my headphones hidden. I then also put a fake scar on my left cheek with makeup and headed downstairs.

I threw the keys to the guy at the desk and walked out the door. I pulled my phone out searching for someone to help me, but saw no one. I had called Kurapika, Neon, Melony, Basho, Bisky, Leorio, a girl named Faith, a boy named Reds, and a different girl named Everest but no one answered!

I sighed in frustration then noticed a new contact that I didn't know. I clicked on it then hit call. One ring. Two rings. Three rings. Then someone answered.

"Hello?"

"Um hi I have your number.... wait a minute dad?" I asked after I heard the voice.

"Oh so you finally decide to call me."

"How did you? Nevermind that I was attacked in the park. It wasn't serious just a bruise on my side, but I need help."

"Alright I'm gonna give you an address, and blend in with the crowd."

I followed his directions and he had me go through the busiest of places to make sure if someone was listening they'd get other people's conversations and to make sure I couldn't get tailed.

Next thing I knew I was infront of the meeting building of the zodiacs. I walked in and went up to the floor he spoke of.

When I walked in I saw a guy that looked like a walking bean.

"H-hello I'm Mr. Bean why are you here exactly?" He asked obviously startled that I was there.

"U-um.. well I'm here to see Ging. I'm his daughter." I responded. Mr. Bean nodded his head and allowed me to open the meeting room I guess is what it was.

I opened the door and saw it was the meeting room and saw the zodiacs an even the chairman.

"Hello you must be Mara." Chairman Netero said as I stepped through the doors.

"Y-yeah..." I said walking past everyone and sitting in an empty seat by my dad.

"Well nice to meet you. Anyway... Anyone else enjoying this tea?" I saw some people want to face palm and I kinda giggled because when he said anyway he looked like he was gonna say something serious then completely wipeout that thought and sipped tea with a joking face.

-TIME SKIP CUZ IM LAZY RIGHT NOW!!!-

"You can stay here for the next few nights." Dad said as he walked me to a room.

"Cool." I stated and walked in and collapsed on the bed. "Today's been eventful..." I mumbled and had my hand slide down the side of my face in exhaustion, but I wasn't ready to go to sleep yet. I layed down again and became unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.I was called to the cells again. I assumed it was Fore who called me and walked down the hallway. All the versions had something to say this time though.

"How could I not notice..."-water
"We can win if we just calm down and try to find her first."-earth
"How could I not beat her I'm an awesome fighter!"-air
"Maybe she's nice! Maybe....."-light
"Why I ought a teach that little punk a lesson..."-ice
"This can't be the end!"-metal
"I can hear her footsteps..."-darkness
"She's so strong...."-lightning.

I then finally got to Fires cell.

"What's been going on?!" I snapped at her and saw her stand up with her back towards me. She turned her head so I could see part of her face.

"We've been compromised."
